After many foods I have tried, both at the same price and even more expensive, this is the first one they eat easily

I got it after a very difficult period for my dog's intestines (uncontrollable diarrhea - I hope I don't hit some in the food).

In the first week, he ate it unchewed and, in fact, without me adding anything else inside (leftover food, my saliva, etc.). He hadn't eaten plain food since he was 1 month old.

Maybe it was the wow effect, because after a week he got bored of it and now only eats it when he realizes that there won't be any extra playtime.

In any case, since the diarrhea stopped and his stools are firm, it's a yes from me.

Some words about this food, because it is unreasonably expensive and we seem to be paying for the brand:

1. Corn and wheat (cornmeal, corn, wheat flour, wheat): These grains are of lower nutritional value and are primarily used as cheap sources of carbohydrates. They are not necessarily harmful, but some dogs may develop allergies or intolerances to them. The first ingredient on the list is corn, indicating that it is the main component, while animal protein comes second.

2. Controversial fat quality (animal fats): The description "animal fats" is general and does not specify the source. Higher quality foods specifically mention the origin (e.g., "chicken fat").

3. Preservatives and antioxidants: It is mentioned that it contains preservatives and antioxidants, without clarifying whether they are natural or artificial. Artificial ones, such as BHA/BHT, should be avoided.

I was feeding my dog Happy Dog croquettes and everything was fine. I decided to try Royal Canin because of its good reputation, thinking that the croquettes would be better. However, for the past week, my dog has been experiencing gas and diarrhea. It's not worth even 10 euros, you're only paying for the name and not the quality. I will never buy from this company again
