Description
The Black Sheep, an eccentric name for a product that emphasizes its uniqueness and distinctiveness. Its new-world philosophy is evident from its screw cap, trendy appearance, and the freshness that characterizes it. It is produced at the Macedon Winery in Platanotopos, Kavala, while the vineyards are located a short distance from the winery.
For the Black Sheep red, we chose the Syrah and Merlot varieties, whose cultivation at the foothills of Mount Pangaion has yielded very good results.
- Varieties: 60% Syrah, 40% Merlot.
- Vineyards: Foothills of Mount Pangaion.
- Vinification – Maturation: Classic red wine vinification with 4-6 months aging in oak wood pieces.
- Oenological Analyses: Alcohol Content: 14.5%, Total Acidity: 5.25g/l, Reducing Sugars: 2.5 g/l, pH: 3.58

Reviews
1 - 1.5 hours of aeration is definitely necessary before you start drinking it, so you don't feel like it's a €5 wine!! Earlier, it tasted like vinegar; it showed me that it needed some time to settle down a bit!
For its price and my tastes, no... I wouldn't buy it again; it didn't excite me, and it had a metallic taste and a lot of acidity!! On the positive side, I would mention its aroma and color!
For its price, I believe there are better options available in that price range!
The vintage I tried was from 2022!

Did you find this review helpful?Excellent wine that can be enjoyed for both a casual dinner and a gathering with friends, nice aroma, not heavy, and a very good value for its quality and price. In market research, I have seen significant price differences for this wine from one store to another. It requires some searching.
