Talking about the use I got it for, gym contactless payments and accurate measurements, it does exactly what you expect. The operating system doesn't lag, it's easy to use, and overall I don't regret the money I spent as it syncs quickly and without issues with all the other Apple devices I have. If there's something that bothers me, it's the battery, but I knew that beforehand; as I mentioned above, for the uses I have, it comfortably lasts 1.5-2 days.
I like that I can answer calls from the watch and be notified about messages, etc. For a first such watch, it's great and the price is good! I wish there was one with a stainless steel case at a reasonable price.
SE 2024
Honest at 279
It has nothing to envy from its siblings 7, 8, 9 and the more FEMININE 10 (in my opinion).
The sensor that measures oxygen on the Apple is probably expensive... so if you need it, you throw in +200 and leave the SE series.
My battery lasts the day with a one-hour workout but without particularly fiddling with the screen. An extra quick charge during the day solves the issue.
Good call quality, I would like the speaker to be a little bit louder.
Screen is fast and clear.
Regarding the AOD now that I read complaints... nonsense, the watch activates with minimal movement - personally, I wouldn't pay +200/250 for this feature.
If you are a super athlete - 5 sports - mountaineering, etc., go for the ultra. I think the rest is covered very honestly with very nice measurements and histories, with special mention to the training load that doesn't let you stray significantly from week to week.
It would be nice to have a score in the sleep evaluation like the Samsung app does, not just dry numbers.
My compliments to the designer of the clasp on the silicone strap... he must have been drunk. I changed it immediately to avoid getting used to its awkwardness, and with a 45 case that protects it without damaging it, it's just fine.
Very aesthetically pleasing, it sits very nicely in the hand, but it doesn't last more than 10 hours on battery, resulting in half of its capabilities being useless to me.
Little battery unfortunately but I knew it, not too big nor too small so it's fine, I haven't really used it yet, for fitness measurements I mean, it doesn't take water. I don't know what's going on with the synchronization with the mobile, sometimes it shows me everything sometimes nothing, I don't know what's happening in this matter because it always has battery, and I have an iPhone 15!
An essential part of everyday life is now like having a doctor in your hand 24/7. The autonomy is not great, as is typical, but Apple pays great attention to this drawback. The watch is not compatible with mobile phones that have an iOS version below 17
I have had this particular watch for the past 2 months. The purchase was made from Istorm because it was out of stock in other stores. Let's start with the obvious, you NEED to have an iPhone 11 or above to support connectivity, etc. The battery lasts comfortably for a day with regular use and one exercise tracking session. It charges to over 90% in 30 minutes. The sleep tracking measurements are quite good, although it doesn't detect sleep durations under 4 hours, such as a midday nap. The heart rate monitor is quite accurate, as I have compared it with an oximeter and they show similar readings. It has plenty of sports tracking features that will leave no one disappointed. On the downside, it requires 40% battery to track your sleep and it always needs to be charged to perform updates. Personally, I have disabled 99% of its notifications and I only use it for tracking my runs, gym workouts, tennis, sleep, and heart rate, as well as for making calls while driving! I believe the next one I will get will be an Ultra to explore more functions of an Apple Watch.
Positives:
Accurate measurements (heart rate, steps, etc.)
I can make calls from the Apple Watch if someone calls me. It's convenient for driving if you don't have Bluetooth in your car, if you're working out and don't want to wear headphones, etc.
Option to view and reply to messages.
The battery lasted me 2 days with regular use, but I charge all my devices every night, so it's more than enough for my needs.
Negatives:
The time cannot stay permanently displayed like the Series 5 models and onwards.
The strap it comes with is small for a man's wrist (I couldn't even put it on to try it out).
I should add that the strap shown in the photo is not the one included, but the classic silicone strap.
Also, in the video, it seems that the touch sensitivity is not good due to the glass case I bought (I don't recommend it, I took it off).
I paired it with a bracelet strap and it's perfect.
Quite good, runs without problems so far. The only thing that bothers me is that it doesn't have ECG for the money. I got the 44mm version for myself and the 40mm for my wife. It fits very well on both of us.
*Overall, there is improvement in everything compared to the previous version.
*Also, the battery lasts for a maximum of 1 day without heavy use.
