Purchase to replace a three-year-old Apple Watch. Expected quality with measurement accuracy, doing everything it promises. Given the compatibility issues with Huawei, which are very well resolved, it is a one-way street for someone who has an iPhone. The way it interacts with the phone and the information it provides is not easily found in another smartwatch. An expensive solution, but having experience from Huawei, Xiaomi, Amazfit, I would say it is on par in quality and measurements with Huawei but superior in compatibility. You gain its amazing durability (the previous one I only hit with a stone) but lose on battery life. But this is something you have to accept from the start. (a day and a half with everything on)

If it hadn't been a gift, I wouldn't have bought it. HOW MUCH MORE NOW that I know its performance.
-PROS: it is fully functional and connects perfectly with the phone (iPhone). Also, its charging is very fast, which helps a bit with the battery issue.
-CONS: its battery for the price is terrible (2 days with battery saving). A friend of mine has a Huawei watch for €200 and its battery lasts at least a week with the same functions. Also, a small detail that personally disappointed me a bit, while it tracks sleep, it doesn't inform you about how well you actually slept (a feature that watches with half its price have). Instead, it tells you about the sleep stages you were in.

Except for the battery that needs half an hour to an hour of charging (I charge it at about 10%), everything else is excellent. It has solved my problems for a year now that I've had it 09/2023. Payments with Apple Pay instantly without the phone. Calls, messages, tracking activities and sleep! Connection with 2-factor authentication app (authy) for immediate access to accounts. Unlocking Apple devices without needing to type a password every time or touch ID. I can even control what the player is playing on the iMac 10 meters away!
The watch is flawless for the Apple ecosystem. I have no opinion on connecting to an Android device.
Now as for its battery, who wouldn't want this tool to last longer? I have found the charging formula: 45 minutes (from 18% to ~88%) and we go for another almost 2 days.

In 2 days, the screen gets scratched (spiderweb) if you put a lens from a mobile phone or in bright light! The screen is curved and you can't put anything to protect it because the films come off! Unbelievable to get scratched! I searched and it doesn't have sapphire glass, but the Ultra 2 and the Series 9 45 with stainless steel casing have sapphire glass that prevents scratches, but they cost 700+ and are cellular! Once again, while we pay so much money, Apple doesn't support us, on the contrary, they give us inferior materials. It scratches easily, keep that in mind! Battery life is pathetic, 1 day with moderate use. The packaging didn't surprise me! The charging cable inside was braided, very high quality! Now, if you want normal use combined with Apple phones, it's wonderful.

It obviously cannot be compared to cheaper smartwatches and bands I had in the past. It's worth its money! Maybe for someone who doesn't want to spend so much money, they should consider the SE, for which I have no opinion. Second smartwatch I get after a disappointing Garmin Fenix 6s Pro in terms of service and quality (it's broken with burnt pixels and no one takes responsibility, not even the dealership. Only replacement with a used one and 200 euros, ridiculous...). So, I decided to get the Apple Watch 9 (couldn't find the 8 :( ) with some reservations at first.
I've had it for 3 weeks and I love it.
It has everything I need and it performs very well.
The measurements are quite accurate, even flawless.
I've stopped using my phone as much, I do almost everything from the watch with its apps.
It has never frozen on me and it opens things lightning fast.
Of course, it receives all calls and messages.
I'm skeptical about its durability, it's not the ultra version... time will tell.
I'm satisfied with the battery, I expected worse but with moderate use from morning to night, it consumes about 40% with everything on.
It has left me satisfied, but for its price at around 480 euros, hmm, there might be better options!!! If it had been priced at 300, it would be 5 stars.

I had no previous experience with smartwatches other than a Casio with a calculator as a teenager, I was torn between the SE 2022 and this one. In the end, the Series 9 won me over. As a device, it is very beautiful and easy to use, and with the right apps (widgy), it performs several functions that I wanted but were not readily available from the factory. Now, the battery lasts just under 2 days of use - without exercise. I haven't disabled any features, no one buys such an expensive device to disable features! In my opinion, for this price, regardless of the brand, the battery should last at least 7 days as an absolute minimum. There is no excuse.
