The Meinl Sonic Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum is made of high-quality stainless steel. It has a central bass note in the middle plus eight more notes around it. These eight notes consist of two tongues each that produce the tone in two octaves, creating a wonderful, meditative sound. At the bottom of the steel tongue, you will find the sound hole, which can be closed with a silicone cap for a more compact sound. There are also three silicone feet at the bottom for stability.

You can play the Octave Steel Tongue Drum with mallets or with your fingers. Just place it on a surface or in your lap and start playing.
