The zipper base is on the left side. I don't think I've ever encountered this in another piece of clothing. Personally, fastening with this zipper is difficult for me. Perhaps its only drawback.
Good jacket and comfortable, just be careful.. it says black but it's not completely black.. I would say it's more like dark blue. Other than that, it's fine.
