It’s totally worth it, it is not to clean a whole carpet but a certain spot, if your pet or (kid) accidentally dirties the carpet or couch, it has a special container for animal “litter” so that it does not go through the machine. Otherwise if you have some other spot on your couch or rug that you want to clean, then it does the work perfectly. It is very easy to assemble and straight forward to use. There are several YouTube videos that explain how to use it. Bissell has many different machines for slightly different uses, be sure to know for which use your are buying this product. If you are looking to clean you whole carpet, then you better buy a bigger machine, but if you are looking for spot cleaning and especially from dog/cat or kids then this machine is for you. I absolutely love it.
