Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
It fixed exactly the problem that the car had, which I knew beforehand because I had taken it to the repair shop, so this scanner is guaranteed. It also turned off the engine light.
If it gives you a code (like it did for me), simply do a search on the internet and you can see how to fix it yourself if it's something simple.
Because I read in the comments that many people use it just to turn off the engine light, I inform you that this does not fix the problem. It simply clears the error report in the car (check engine). The problem still exists, so it needs to be repaired no matter what, and it is good to keep the engine light on until you fix it because if you forget or ignore it, damage may occur. I'm writing this because I read comments like "Oh, the light turned off, so we're okay."
Unfortunately, it does not read on a Peugeot 206 of the 2000 model. It receives power normally but it says there is a connection failure with the brain
Cannot connect with Skoda Octavia 5 from 2009! I bought it because of the good reviews and in the end, I wasted my money! Such a shame! For a little more, you can get a much better one!
Very good, very useful. It gives out the fault code,; a description; and some more information. Very handy.
Good for erasing faults or seeing basic things about the car's operation. For more, you need to know the meaning of the codes that appear for each category of fault.
Test on VW PASSAT 1.6 FSI (B5C) 2007:
Simply and clearly showed the problems with a code as well as an explanation, saved me effort, time & money.
It naturally cleared all the problems.
The Live data it provides works flawlessly.
It is the definition of "Value For Money"!!!
I recommend and suggest it without reservation!!!!!
For the money, it's very good. However, don't get confused. Its job is to diagnose faults. Clearing faults is a function it provides, but if you use it to clear faults without knowing what and how, the risk doesn't go away. You clear the fault code, but it doesn't solve either the problem or the fault. Especially those faults that start with the letter P, which pertain to the engine.
very good,
you plug it in, turn it ON, and do a diagnostic...
besides the code, it also wrote what fault it found, not just a number, otherwise you google it and see what’s wrong
of course, it’s different to erase an error and different to erase a serious issue that needs a mechanic..... it doesn’t do magic, it does diagnosis....!!!!!
tested on:
seat ibiza 2007
peugeot 308 2012
For diagnosis and reset check engine, it's just fine! It works perfectly on the Peugeot 206 and Toyota Corolla that I have tested.
Ford Focus MK2 with ASDA engine, the check engine light came on.
Well, yes... it did what I wanted, it gave me the codes, I changed the lambda sensors, I cleared them, and the car was like before!!
Also, if there is a problem and not just a light because a sensor got stuck, even if you clear them, they will come back on again, and that's logical...
It's the best 17 euros I've ever spent!!
To see and erase simple general faults and not specialized for a specific brand, it is perfect and worth the money.
Application on Nissan Almera N16. The check engine light went off and then it burned a valve, 850 euros damage. The airbag light that turns on from time to time and I know it's a mistake, it doesn't turn off. Wasted money.
For its price, it is very honest. It has been tested on a Fiat Punto MK2B 1.4 and a Skoda Octavia VRS MK1
For the price, it is excellent! I use it on a Peugeot 308 and it reads all the faults and erases them as well. Of course, it cannot be compared to a more expensive - professional one, but for someone who wants to see what the light on the car means without constantly running to the workshop, it does its job and more!
It worked immediately and solved an issue in my 2013 Ford Fiesta, which I then cleared.
Very good value for money.
It reads Renault Clio 2001 normally. I haven't tried erasing codes but it reads them and shows live data etc. Honest for 14 euros
In a 2009 Toyota Auris it connected easily (requires the switch to be turned on even if the engine is not working), the abilities are described in the previous comments, only the user manual and diagnostic do not have Greek.
In opel Corsa d 1.3 2011 facelift it connects properly and clears the fault. But it doesn't show the fault code to know what it is. I had some issues with different faults and it didn't display them compared to the ELM 327 that I checked.
In Fiat Punto. It turns on the check engine light. It wouldn't turn off for me. It gave me trouble. I went to the mechanic who ran the diagnostic. It showed the same thing for me as it did for the mechanic on his own. Whatever work it does, it does. If you're lucky, it will clear the error. Advice. Don't rest on your laurels. Pay attention to the fault codes it shows you
It is used in a Toyota Auris hybrid. It has cleared every fault. In a message regarding the replacement of the hybrid battery that appeared frequently, it proved very valuable, as the hybrid battery is not replaced immediately, but it takes some time. I recommend it without hesitation. Also positive is its low price.
On the car dashboard, it displays an error. In this diagnostic tool, it does not show any code that indicates a problem, either fault or pending codes. And obviously it does not erase it because it cannot find it to erase it.
In the mechanic's diagnostic tool, it shows an error code, and erases it on the dashboard.
So specifically for me, it does not work.
on RENAULT MÉGANE2 DCI
The engine light came on and I wanted to see what it was before going to the garage and wasting time and money for nothing.
Very easy to use and worked on Ford Fiesta MKV.
Reads the data and clears the errors.
It surprised me that it tells you to open or close the engine for it to proceed and do its job.
Successfully cleared the error and did not light up again, as others have said, it does not fix anything, just clears the errors.
Worth the money.
It works on a 2001 Corolla and reads data and reads/erases codes and all that. The only downside is that when you try to read all the live data at once, it shows random values and takes a while to respond, but if you choose to view them one by one, then it's fine, and of course, it has a limit due to its price. Good and reliable with many uses already
In a Saab 93 2007, it works perfectly fine. The check engine light turned off. However, the ESP light turned on, which was not on before. I turned off the engine, turned it back on, and it also turned off.
It does what it says, it clears the fault, but it doesn't fix it, so after a while the check engine light comes back on :(
Also, it doesn't tell you what the fault is, it just gives some codes...
In Bmw e46 2004, it recognizes and clears errors, it does exactly the job it says! Excellent value for money, you save the mechanic, time and money! However, if there is a problem with the car, it will clear it but it will reappear, which is reasonable! I happened to have a fault after changing the shock absorbers, but the fault did not appear on the obd, so I took out and put back the battery and everything is fine!
Good overall, but in a 2012 Ford Focus, even though the check engine light is on, it does not read the error.
In Audi TT, with confirmed damage (indicated by EPC, which is related to the electronic power control system), it does not detect the problem.
P.S.: The fact that it clears errors for some people does not mean that it fixes them.
It is good. I put it in a Land Rover Freelander 1 and it found the problem for me immediately, saving me quite a bit of money if I had sent it to the mechanic
So, in Volkswagen Golf 5 I had an issue with a fault in the NOX sensor (480€ change without a definite solution to the problem), resulting in the mixture being ruined and the car running poorly. So, I kept running back to the mechanic to reset the fault indicator so that the car would function properly... until I read about this tool here, I bought it and it really saved me. It takes seconds to find and delete the faults... really CHEAP for what it offers.
It works on Ford Focus II 1.6 tiVCT 2005 (reads error codes and clears the check engine light)
