We have had it at school for many years and the students of the vocational school use it. When we talk and say dog, no one can imagine. It has done jobs all over the complex and has become the school's slogan!!!! The Makita... the Makita... from people who have no knowledge, they drill, dig, and whatever else someone can think of!! Mechanical engineers, electricians, structural. From service... nothing!!! Even its box is spacious for extra drills, etc. It is worth its name and its money in full!!!
7 stars if it had them for the job I got it for.. It scrapes ceilings that require mandatory and complete removal of the old plaster for the proper repair of the ceiling. At slow speeds during impact with light pressure, it also chips away at the rusty rebar from the rust..!!! Incredibly convenient and comfortable in its grip and lightweight when you need to dig with your hands up high.. 2nd complete renovation in the house and it shines.. No need to force it, it scrapes with the wide chisel of the Dewalt sds plus and with a mixer you can easily make half a 25-kilo bag of cementitious without straining. The tool for all jobs. With a good four-corner drill, it goes into concrete like butter. It’s worth every penny just like no other tool I have bought from Skroutz, and thanks to your reviews as well... Thank you
What can I say, I have bought three of them so far, my first one lasted for 10 years and I tried others but none of them compare. I am a plumber and I have drilled through bricks, concrete, and tiles from all over the world. This brand is top-notch
I had a parkside drill which also paid off and I had no problem, but when the trigger broke, I couldn't find spare parts. From the first hole you make with the Makita, you understand why it has such a name. What can we say now? And its price is ridiculous from the moment you know it is one of the top companies. It's just not suitable for heavy drilling in concrete. It is powerful and lightweight for bricks. I recommend it with my eyes closed.
If you want something to do your job and not hesitate, definitely get it. I have bought it twice for work (cooling) and I have dug a lot of concrete and bricks, it doesn't hesitate at all
I have it for a year. I used it for wall demolition, to remove some tiles, and for holes in the wall (brick and concrete) and I was very satisfied. Time will show its durability.
The drill was used for multiple drillings in reinforced concrete with a double-edged drill bit of 20mm diameter at a depth of 30cm. It completed the job but struggled quite a bit and tired me out. The power is insufficient for such tasks and it shows.
....
In chiseling mode, things improve and it performs well. This classifies the drill in the light professional category. Do not expect it to perform if you are drilling concrete extensively and with a diameter larger than 15mm.
....
Also, the handle locks in place and it is difficult to change its position/angle during work. Overall, it is a good tool but do not expect it to drill reinforced concrete like butter. For the price and the brand of the drill, I expected something more.
A very good machine that pays for itself and more. I had the same one purchased in 2012, if I remember correctly, for 270 euros. After a lot of work, the impact broke, so I decided to buy the same one again. Unfortunately, I didn't go to see it in person and ordered it online. I assumed it was a good opportunity with such a big price difference. The fact that there was nothing else in the box except the drill and the instruction manual didn't bother me, as I mentioned before, I already have the same one, so I have plenty of drills and bits of all kinds. My big disappointment was when I saw the head of it. Unfortunately, for some reason (probably cost reduction), they made the head non-removable, resulting in it only accepting SDS attachments, unlike the old one that had a special chuck to accept any type of attachment. You could remove the SDS, put the regular chuck, and use whatever you wanted! I have some very expensive drill bits that are now useless. The machine remains equally top-notch in its performance, it's just not as versatile and it restricts you. I would still recommend it blindly to someone looking for a quality and reliable tool. Just be careful, if someone has non-SDS attachments, they will have to buy them all from scratch. For example, if I knew this beforehand, personally, I wouldn't have bought it. Otherwise, as I said, it's a top-notch tool.
Really, a black dog and specifically for its money is a must-buy whether you are a professional or an amateur. It is lightweight, powerful, without strong vibrations despite not having anti-vibration technology and hard. It fell from 3 meters of stairs and it didn't even scratch. A tool that every household should have. The easiest 5-star rating I have given.
Excellent value for money, I have used many well-known tools a thousand times and this one is much better than any other costing 600+ euros. Keep in mind that I use an SDS masonry drill bit of 6 millimeters for drilling into brick and floor.
I have had this machine for over 8 years and it works continuously. Its only issue is that after 4 years of heavy work (by many different people), it stopped rotating, but its impact is amazing. I bought a new one the day before yesterday and I can say that its hammer drill is amazing, it is 10%-20% better than a similar one from BOSCH. It definitely pays for itself and more
Dear friends, I have the previous model from 2002. The tool is a diamond! I am an electrician and with this, I have made countless holes, many excavations, and several screwings. I have no words....
If something happens to me, I will buy the same thing again. With closed eyes.....!!!
When I first used it, I felt foolish for all the years I struggled to drill a hole with other machines... It drills through tiles and beams effortlessly, without me even exerting pressure or breaking a sweat... I made the mistake of getting an adapter chuck to use my old drill bits. It had so much power that it screwed the bit into the wall! The adapter chuck was slipping around the round base of the bit, and I was afraid to remove it from the wall! Since then, only SDS bits for me!
I have had it for about 10 years and it works very well (for amateur work). I have drilled concrete very easily, for wood and iron it's not even a discussion, very comfortable. I have demolished a bathroom very easily without any difficulty. Overall, I am very satisfied.
You came here because you said it is 100€ cheaper than the Bosch ??? You will make a big mistake if you buy it, it is not as powerful as the Bosch and you will struggle
Guys, I have had it for 2-3 years, it has broken bricks and holes from everyday use, it hasn't suffered anything else, only the clutch, which is logical considering the treatment it has received. I had bosvh dewalt, such a beast, I never had any issues with it, I would buy it again without hesitation. Japanese = value
Very good tool indeed. One thing that bothers me a little is a circular switch that is sometimes pressed unintentionally by your thumb, causing the tool to lock and work continuously. So I don't know how safe it is (for now)... so with a little practice, you can avoid it
For completely amateur use, you understand that it was wrong not to have gotten something good until now. You buy it once and for all. You pay for it, of course, but the difference with cheaper tools is like day and night. It doesn't get stuck anywhere. Very powerful
For amateur use, it is the best I have had. Overall, I have put it to the test with wall demolitions using bricks, and it performs exceptionally. It drills through concrete like paper, although it doesn't dig easily with a chisel (which is logical and expected, of course)
I drilled the ceiling for fun, without much noise and without any significant vibrations. When I got it, I expected something heavier and to shake the whole thing, but in the end, it was very comfortable. I am thrilled
Crazy tool! I chose the brand directly (although I also love Bosch) because growing up in construction, I don't remember a craftsman who didn't use Makita. Not at all random... we're talking about top-notch quality. Mine is literally black, because I got the anniversary edition in black color, but at 160 euros, so now that its price has dropped, it's really a bargain for its quality and capabilities. I renovated 3 apartments along with 2 courtyards and a terrace. Walls, ceilings, wherever it could break and drill, I demolished the whole house. We're talking about melting. I have bought many extra accessories and attachments for it, glass drill bits, etc. The SDS is very convenient because it takes all compatible tools. It doesn't understand Christ. I really made an INVESTMENT. Whenever I open its case to use it, it's a ritual! Japanese = Guarantee. You will have it for a lifetime.
I have an AEG (double the price) for ten years now due to a small damage and waiting for a replacement part, I bought this one (130€) and I can say that I am very satisfied and it is definitely worth it for more.
Perfect tool. Impeccable in everything it is intended for. Lightweight, fast, and powerful. Get it while it's still available, especially at this price.
I would like to add something. In a pistol-grip drill with an SDS chuck, regardless of the brand, there is not much precision. If someone wants precision, they should buy a good drill with a regular chuck, and even better if it's not even a hammer drill. The added impact mechanism in a drill burdens the tool and its concentricity is lost. In the past, even in hammer drills, you could see their quality. But as I have said before, tools today are not made like they used to be.
After 6 years in my possession, I don't change brands and if it breaks, which is a little difficult, I would still buy the same one!!! It's worth it and more!!!
Excellent for amateur use and very good for professional use. The only drawback I would attribute to it is the plastic casing of the box, which does not allow it to dissipate heat quickly, resulting in overheating during prolonged heavy use. However, for the money, it is an amazing tool, easy to maintain and clean. Highly recommended.
