It requires 4 holes in the ceiling and it's ready, I recommend grounding as well but if it's not available, I don't consider it a serious danger for it to remain without grounding. Its screws are ideal, I tried to use larger ones and that was my only delay in installation, just trust the screws and the hooks that come with the fan and it will be fine. For a child's room where air conditioning cannot be installed, it is the best choice
