I have had it for almost two years now and I have only good things to say. It has survived several drops even without protection and has never frozen. For the money, it's the best.
So far a very reliable phone. I don't think it's for gaming, but it does the basics perfectly. The battery lasts almost all day with heavy use. With light use, it lasts up to 2 days. For this price, you can't go wrong with it
* THE GOOD: The phone is by far the most VFM (value for money) that someone can get, given that for some reason (parallel import?) it is offered at a significantly lower price from some stores. Its features correspond to a higher category.
* THE BAD: I had trouble getting it to connect to a 5G network. Since my old phone and, more importantly, the SIM were old, I was told that it probably does not support 5G. So I changed the card to a new one from Cosmote. With this card, the phone only picked up 4G+. I sent an SMS to activate 5G on the new SIM, but the response I received was that "The device does not support 5G network." This puzzled me because there was an option for a 5G network in the device's menu (not to mention it was also written on the box, bold and clear).
Eventually, the problem was solved as follows: I put the new SIM in another phone with 5G capability, sent the SMS for activation, and I received the response that 5G was activated. I put the card back in the OnePlus, and it picked up 5G immediately and without issues.
* THE UGLY: Unable to get 5G and after I couldn't get any response from the store where I bought it, I requested a replacement through Skroutz (if you bought it through Skroutz, you can't request a replacement directly from the store). They told me that the inspection takes 15 working days (i.e., 3 weeks). I called earlier (on the 10th working day) and found out that no one had checked it (and fortunately, because they would have inserted another SIM and seen that the phone works fine). After a brief conversation and excellent service experience, the phone was immediately replaced with a brand new one, which actually came from another store and not from the one I initially bought it from (so I obviously used some warranty from Skroutz and not just the manufacturer's).
A very honest phone for its price. Battery and charger are very good. Screen is very good. What can I say, I am very satisfied, of course in relation to its price
It's worth the money. It charges incredibly fast. And just the fact that the package included a charger, cable, protective case, and a screen protector counts. Good screen, good battery, Android 13.
One of the very good mobile phones with a huge battery. The only downside is the type C charging port that has worn out and the charger doesn't fit well, in everything else it is perfect
Two hours ago, I received the phone, which I will use as a second one. I searched for it quite a bit since this is my first OnePlus!! Well, the phone is Excellent.. very good build quality, very good menu.. it has everything inside.. fast and the photos are very good from those I took inside my office.. For the price it has now, it's a steal!!! It's worth it and then some... It made me think if I'm really wasting a lot of money to buy the flagships.. Are we falling victims to Marketing..??? The phone was purchased for 175 euros from a store here.. from what I see now, its price has reached high levels..
Incredibly good phone. Fast, with huge battery life and an amazing camera. One star minus because I think it could be a little thinner and definitely lighter.
2 years of use and it has started to restart by itself at random times, while at first it could handle many heavy applications at once. Now it can't even handle Spotify. I have cleared the cache, checked the Android updates, I have done everything I can from the most advanced fixes, but it continues to disappoint me. It's good for the first year. After that, it goes downhill
Because many do not have a point of comparison since they always move in mid-range phones and below, I will share my opinion based on the experience of many good phones.
I should mention that I got it as a second phone since in my daily life I have the OnePlus 12R.
POSITIVES ce3 lite:
1) Good screen clarity
2) Super battery, charges quickly and does not drain quickly
3) It has a sturdy construction but definitely needs a case as the aluminum on the sides is thin and sensitive
4) It has 5 years of updates
It doesn’t come with useless apps, it runs better
You can hear and be heard well during calls
5) It has a 3.5mm jack for headphones, the old one that phones used to have but now don’t
6) It has 8GB RAM + 8GB expandable RAM from the settings, going up to 16GB RAM, so it doesn’t lag
128GB is more than enough, but if you want, you can add an extra memory card
7) It has NFC for payments and 5G
8) Inside the package, there was a transparent case and a charger with a cable for fast charging (I mention this because other companies now charge extra for these) also the screen has a protective film that you don’t remove unless it gets damaged
Negatives:
1) The camera did not impress me, although I expected it; it’s nothing compared to the other phone I have, the 12R.
2) OnePlus is in Greece and represented by Oppo Smartech, and if the device is not from a specific large chain, they do not assist you even if the battery fails; you have to go to the store where you bought it and have them send it to the supplier. This happens because Smartech wants to serve only devices intended for Greece and not international or European ones.
3) The fingerprint sensor is on the side on the button that you use to turn the device on and off. Sometimes it gets confused thinking you are trying to put your fingerprint while you just want to turn it off.
4) There are no good cases and screen protectors available in the market for this device from companies like Spigen and UAG, so the best solution is the OnePlus case, which is fantastic and fully protects, but it is expensive (€27 with shipping; I have tried it on another phone that fell off a scooter at high speed and the device suffered no damage with this OnePlus Sandstone case). I recommend a gel film from two large chains that have machines to cut it to the phone's dimensions; it is the best option (don’t mix it up with questionable quality glass protectors)
In general, I would say that it is a very good device for its price, which could definitely cost €250+. At €167, it was a no-brainer because compared to the new OnePlus ce4lite (€287 next to it), the differences were small. I consider the device value for money. If you want to have an excellent experience without spending a lot of money, go for the OnePlus 12R, which competes with devices costing €900+ and costs €530! Otherwise, something in between is the OnePlus Nord 3, which is a giant at €330.
However, this device, the ce 3 lite, is excellent for a simple user who does not ask for much from the camera and does not want to spend a fortune. Warranty 2 years. Do not throw away the box or receipt.
I have had the phone for a week. I will start with the positives. The phone is very fast, it doesn't lag anywhere, the screen is good (although I found it a bit disappointing at first because I came from a device with an AMOLED screen) and the speaker is loud (it has two speakers but the left one, which is essentially for calls, is not equivalent). It charges quickly and holds a normal amount of battery life.
The main negative is the camera. The photos are generally okay although the colors seem somewhat unnatural to me. The biggest weakness of the camera, however, is in the dark; I was really disappointed there. I don't understand how they released a device with such poor performance in low light, the video is worse than a 5-year-old phone. It's full of noise and dark, lacking color. And the photos suffer in the dark, there is a night mode that somewhat improves the situation. I will write again if something changes for the worse.
Update
After a month of use, I realized that I miss the ultra-wide lens (I wrongly assumed it would have one, apparently not all phones do). Also, although it has a 108mp camera, it doesn't shoot 4k video, nor 60fps video (it only has it for super slow-motion mode). Additionally, the fingerprint reader struggles from angles other than that of the right thumb. Other than that, it works well, it doesn't lag, and I've gotten used to the screen that is not AMOLED; it has a decent standard performance.
Since the review also considers the price-quality ratio, I gave it 4 stars due to its price (close to €200), because I believe that all smartphones with these features are overpriced.
The best thing for under 200 euros. Quality in everything. I fully recommend it for average daily use. Good battery, sound is stereo, image is correct. It will hardly lag, pleasant in the hand
I had a Nord 3, I broke the screen twice in a week and I didn't pay 190 euros again for replacement, so I bought this.
Definitely slower compared to the Nord 3 but for the money, far better than others, and in speed, etc.
Fast shipping, very good packaging, the phone is quite good, the speaker is amazing, very loud. Of course, I bought it for my wife, who is very satisfied. The photos are quite good, the battery lasts a long time if you don't play games. Overall, a decent phone for the money.
Fast, doesn't lag anywhere, very good camera and screen, strong sound. I don't need to say anything about Oxygen OS, the phone performs without competition at its price.
The camera is the definition of DISAPPOINTMENT. ALL the photos come out blurry. In other aspects, it is quite good, but this photo issue is tragic. Don't buy it if you want to take pictures...
For the money, it's honestly amazing... because I saw the comments about the battery, I have no issues at all; it charges very quickly and lasts quite a while!! It hasn't frozen on me even once!!!
It freezes quite a bit in various applications like Instagram and Facebook Messenger and needs a restart (maybe even a second time), but otherwise the battery, sound, photo, and video resolution are relatively good.
In general, a very good mobile phone for its price. If you want a phone for taking photos, then you are in the wrong place, as the phone has a decent rear camera during the day but the front camera is not satisfactory, especially at night. The speaker is perfect, I no longer need to bring a speaker with me to the beach since the sound reaches 200%. The battery lasts a whole day if you don't use it constantly, sometimes it even lasts for 2 days. I have had it for 1 year so far and neither the battery nor the speed have any difference
Excellent in terms of cost (around 180 euros) and performance. Fast, satisfactory camera, indeed fast charging. Very positive experience as a first use!
So it was purchased as a gift for my father, who is also a OnePlus user like me. I honestly didn't expect such good quality device at this price. Everything looks exceptional and very smooth. The cameras are quite satisfactory and the battery and processor are also very good.
Excellent value for money mobile phone, Very good screen, quite decent processor for its price, sturdy construction and quite elegant compared to its price and materials. For now, the operating system works fine, but this will be seen in the future, with upgrades. I recommend it...
