The G-Shock by Casio is a watch packed with features for monitoring all kinds of workouts. Measure your heart rate with its optical sensor, use the accelerometer to count your steps, and elevate your swimming workouts with the gyroscope that detects strokes and turns.

The new Casio watch features an optical sensor for measuring heart rate, as well as a compass, altimeter/barometric pressure sensor, thermal sensor for measuring temperature, and an accelerometer and gyroscope for detecting body movement.
Additionally, it has a built-in GPS function for measuring position, distance, and movement speed, which monitor a variety of movements in real-time during physical activity.
The built-in GPS antenna, the resin back of the case reinforced with carbon, and the thinner rechargeable battery make this watch smaller and lighter than ever.
The inspiration for the shape and color of the watch components comes from the dual-layer frame that is popular in sports equipment design. The textured side buttons, the strap with a wide range of motion, and other improved exterior design features offer an even more comfortable fit and enhanced functionality.
The bezel and strap are made from environmentally friendly material known as biomass plastics. The use of renewable organic resources, such as corn, helps reduce the ecological footprint.
The Casio watch supports eight different activities, including running, cycling, and swimming. Select an activity with the press of a button to track and display a variety of metrics in real-time.
Based on your body data recorded by the Casio G-Shock, your current performance and condition are displayed on the easy-to-read screen.
For data analysis, the Casio watch uses a series of training and recovery functions supported by best-in-class algorithms and Polar's guidance technology.

Use the app to easily manage the data recorded by the Casio G-Shock. Easily view daily activity logs, training status, and other information to stay motivated and exercise in the way that suits you best.
Use USB charging for training functions, such as GPS tracking and heart rate monitoring, as well as for smart functions, such as notifications and step tracking. The time display is powered exclusively by solar charging, even when the battery runs out.

I won't go into details.. anyone who is a fan of G-Shock and wants a smartwatch should get it without hesitation. I've had it for a year, it has never bothered me while sleeping, the Casio app keeps improving, and the measurements seem okay.
I give it 4⭐️ and not 5⭐️ because sometimes it disconnects from the mobile (iPhone 15 pro max). Otherwise, it is awesome, worth every penny and more. All its measurements are accurate with very minimal to no deviation!
I must say that I am a fan of G-Shock and Protrek. It is a very good watch, very lightweight and comfortable on the wrist, nice buttons. I also like that the screen and main menu have large letters (I have presbyopia at 1.70).
But the mobile application needs improvement. It doesn't always synchronize on my Samsung A71, and I can't understand why. Also, the information in the app is less compared to, for example, Garmin's app. It is good for more casual athletes.
I believe Casio will fix the app in the near future because they are being criticized internationally as well.

Measurements for more sports (beyond running)
Significantly lighter (it is the first GSHOCK that does not have steel on the back) and more compact compared to the previous model. Also, it fits better on the wrist.
The GPS is noticeably faster.
It now also has a pulse oximeter (equally accurate, for a watch, as all its sensors, provided the user instructions are strictly followed).

The Casio app is slow and poor, and the connection with the watch is not the best or fastest possible.
It seems that the battery drains slightly faster compared to the GBD-H1000.
P.S. As with almost all watches with plastic parts in their case, it should NOT come into contact with hot water (as stated in the user manual)
