UPDATE 27/6/24!! Well, guys, I don't know what negatives you are saying about the phone, the battery is not a problem, it lasts a full day and charges in 25 to 30 minutes to 80%.
Secondly, the camera is perfect, those who know, know that with OIS, your photos and videos come out perfectly due to the IMX 766 used in the Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate.
Thirdly, the processor doesn't lag anywhere, and in Call of Duty, I reach around 70-90 fps and in Fortnite, everything is high at 50-60 frames without drops.
Fourthly, MIUI is nothing like the simple Redmi Note 12, it has animations everywhere and is much smoother as it uses 120hz even in menus.
Fifthly, the screen has made a very good impression on me as it is OLED, unlike the old Xiaomi phones.
In conclusion:
If you are coming from an old Xiaomi like Redmi Note 9, 8, 10, or 11, come to the 12, you will like it more. If you have a Redmi Note 10-11 Pro, then go for the Redmi Note 13 Pro, you will see a big difference.
The phone is worth the money and more.
It has no problems with internet or data, as I reach 650 mbps with 5g inside the house and it doesn't disconnect as you may have read.
The phone also has something similar to Apple's Taptic Engine, so it feels like a flagship and sturdy in the hand.
(Small update 1 month later)
Whatever they say about the battery is irrelevant, it lasts from 8 in the morning to 9 at night with continuous 5g use, which is available everywhere, and the signal issue they mention does not exist.
Any review that doesn't say "verified purchase" should not be read, as they may come from the simple Note 12 or Redmi 12 because they look alike.
I promise you that there are no issues, buy it without a second thought.
(Update after 4 months+)
The phone runs smoothly, in Genshin Impact everything is at 50-55 fps.
However, if you plan to get it after March, wait a bit longer for the price of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5g to drop, as it has a better processor and is more honest than the 12 Pro 5g.
If you want software updates for 7 years, go for the Xiaomi 13 Lite.
If you want a decent phone with 3 Android updates and 3 MIUI updates (up to Android 15 and Hyper OS).
MIUI is nice and brings you an iPhone-like experience.
The phone is worth it until January 2024.
No issues with data and such, as I get 5g everywhere.
Update 3/4/24
I have had Hyper OS on Android 14 for two months now, the phone had to adjust a bit as Hyper OS is no longer entirely based on Android.
The phone is more beautiful compared to MIUI and much more practical.
I have an issue with the signal when on 5g, it sometimes shows "data not available", it rarely happens but you should know.
There is no such problem on 4g and otherwise, it still worth it and beats the Realme 12 Pro+ in terms of software and processor. (Update 30/4/2024) The problem is with Cosmote because to have 5G coverage, they use the same channels, so it reconnects often, the issue does not apply to all areas and is a problem in my area.
Well, as I said, Samsung is the easy solution due to reliability and warranty until 10/5/2024, we started having signal problems in 5g very often...
You can't use 5G, only 4G, and if you put 5G, you lose signal for about 10 minutes. Add 250 more and get the s24.
27/6/24
As nice as the 5G is, it is useless to me and it annoys me when I miss calls. Unfortunately, as perfect as the Xiaomi UI has become, it's time to change it. It's not Xiaomi's fault, it's a MediaTek issue, as they provided them with processors with problems in the 5G SA module. The Nothing Phone (2) ended up being a dead end at $600. I ordered it and God is with us
From October until now, it has had three issues. The GPS doesn't find me when I use maps, the photos it takes are blurry and of poor quality, nothing like the ones I saw it taking, and now it doesn't read my sim card. It keeps reconnecting to sim 2 and loses internet connection, and on the other hand, when it disconnects from sim 2. I don't know what's going on...
For its time, it was excellent. Now with the updates, I don't know what will happen. We'll see. I have no complaints.
One of the worst phones I have ever had. After a year I couldn't take it anymore and changed it. The battery drains easily after moderate use. It generally lags and also the photos it takes are of poor quality.
I have now been using the phone for a year, and recently the battery has started to drain faster or occasionally it freezes a bit, but it is a very honest phone
I had Samsung for many years and I bought it for a change. I regret it a thousand times. The device is OK but it has been over 6 months since I have it and there are things that I still can't manage in there.
I had Xiaomi for a lifetime, now I don't think I'll go back to Xiaomi, it's the worst purchase I've made, I haven't had it for even a year and I want to get another phone, it freezes, the internet disconnects for a bit, and generally has other flaws that I don't remember right now
As a holder of the phone for about 9 months, I come to say that I am extremely satisfied with the phone. Obviously in terms of performance but also in terms of build quality. In the 9 months that I have had it, it operates like the first day while being loaded with a ton of applications, images, videos, etc. What impressed me the most, however, is the durability of its material. I don't know if I just got lucky, but the phone survived a fall from a motorcycle. It flew out of the case that was holding it, I don't know how many meters away, bent its chassis along with the screen, and it didn't stop working. At this moment, as I write, the phone has a half-centimeter arc in the center compared to its edges and works perfectly. Not to mention the countless tumbles it has taken from my hands. Kudos to Xiaomi.
Very good phone so far it hasn't given me any problems ....the battery lasts me a day unless I overuse it on social media then it lasts me about half a day...satisfactory camera....I've had it for a year
I got the phone for the good reviews it had for photos, in its price category. What I see is that all the photos I take, even in pro mode and 50mp, have so much distortion that when I zoom in on the photo, they look like brush strokes on a canvas. I have sunsets, with or without memories, that I can easily print and sell as paintings. I don't know if my phone has a problem or if the quality is what I see. The truth is that even in other redmi 12 pro phones I have seen, the difference is not significant.
It constantly loses internet connection. It doesn't listen to me when I speak. The battery drains very quickly. Poor quality videos and photos. It overheats, even during charging. I have had it for only three months. The worst purchase I have ever made.
After months of use, the sim cards suddenly deactivate, and the data shuts off. It requires countless restarts for it to function. Additionally, it definitely needs to be charged twice a day, without using Facebook or games.
When it decides to work, it's a great phone. Otherwise, it's unacceptable for the price of 350 that I paid.
Quite a good mobile for its price, it is fast, its battery lasts if you don't play for hours. The photos and videos have clear and good resolution, and its speakers are quite good!
Stay away! Some mobile phones have a problem with the signal and you only get 2G everywhere. For three months now I only get 2G everywhere, possibly due to some update from Xiaomi on this particular mobile phone as I read that many have the same problem. The battery is very bad from the first days, as if the phone was 3 years old. At least it charges quickly
It is the second device I received as defective. It constantly disconnects from the phone network as well as from WiFi. If it is unplugged, it discharges in 2 hours. Stay away
I have it for a month and I am completely satisfied. The camera is very powerful as it has OIS. The battery is quite good, nothing special. The speed is also very good in everything you do. The charging is very good, I would say very fast. The speakers are very good, not very loud but very high quality. Overall, it is a device that will not disappoint any regular user. It is exactly what you need in this price category, maybe even the best out there
I have had this particular mobile phone for about 4 months.
From the first day, the battery has disappointed me. It needs two charges a day, and not with any crazy usage. And imagine, I deliberately chose low quality on the screen (60hz instead of 120hz) and 4G instead of 5G, which drains even more.
Don't make the mistake of getting it like so many people did...
The phone is terrible, it's not worth the money.
I have been a user of Xiaomi Redmi for years and bought it as the latest model in the series.
I have had it for 5 months and I have to mention:
1) It discharges very easily. It needs charging every 3 hours. (Of course, it has a fast charger, but that doesn't help when, for example, you are outside the house).
2) The touchscreen doesn't always work effectively.
3) Very poor resolution on the front camera.
4) It often doesn't connect to WiFi or has no signal. This is purely due to the phone because it happens, for example, even in outdoor spaces.
Update 10/09/24
- The phone freezes excessively and the screen goes black for a few minutes. This happens every twenty minutes! So during the day around 20 times (I don't use it all day).
SIMPLY TRAGIC. A 9-month-old phone and it's ready for the trash!
Good device quality, beautiful, good weight and feel in the hand. Flawless in browsing, social media, good photos, good speed, etc. I have had it for a month. Very good for what I mentioned earlier for its price, but 4 stars because, as other users have mentioned, it has weak signal that drops without movement, and I noticed it immediately compared to my previous phone, the Redmi Note 11s. In the same space, at the same time, with the same phone provider, compared to my wife's other phone, the Redmi Note 9 Pro, it has a weaker signal. It hasn't caused me any significant issues so far, but it does create insecurity about its basic function as a phone.
Owner of Poco x3 for 2 years now, I made the transition.
The phone performs excellently, multitasking at its finest.
The screen is better than the previous one, with all that entails.
Photos are much better, good zoom for the day I have worked with it. Haven't tried it at night, will come back to that.
One of its great positives is the speaker for listening to music, I really didn't expect it to be so powerful.
The battery easily lasts all day with 4G on, browsing and calls for 1.5 days, and charges in just half an hour with the charger that comes with the phone.
It was worth the money.
Former owner of Redmi Note 10 4G.. speaking about the 12 Pro 5G, terrible camera, by far worse macro, worse signal that should have been better.. I got the 10 for 200 without VAT, the 12 for 250 without VAT. It's not worth it
If you come across a good mobile phone, it's great. I happened to have 2 in a row with the problem of losing mobile network, and unfortunately I'm not risking it for a 3rd. Shame.
In terms of the money you spend, it is a very good and fast device. The photos and videos are satisfactory. Its battery has good duration.
Straight to the point, within the first 2 months, problems with sound and charging started on both the phone and the charger. It no longer charges quickly, even without any external damage. Also, don't expect the battery to last long at 120hz, it drains within a day with minimal usage. Now, as long as it has battery and no issues, it was a good deal for the 200 euros I paid for it
In the two-month period, it got stuck and it does not work properly. The flashlight does not turn on and it does not charge correctly. Money wasted
Whatever is related to Xiaomi 12 (excluding the Pro version because I have no opinion), don't bother spending money... too many complaints in general... for me, in terms of software, it loses signal and I have to restart it to work, the touch sometimes lags, the speaker is not very loud, and the calls are terrible... the browser and games are good. The Xiaomi 10 I had is 100 times better.
After a week of use, I found that it constantly disconnected and reconnected to the mobile network. While all the other functions were fine, the device was not reliable for its basic function as a phone. The service I returned it to for inspection and repair took over 3 weeks to say that it couldn't be fixed, after multiple inquiries from me. In the end, I got my money back, after 3 weeks, the temporary device I was using became the permanent one! What a shame!
It is one of the best mobile phones that cost only 3 hundred. It is very good for its price. I highly recommend it!
All of you say about the battery that it doesn't last!!! It's 11 PM, it's at 50% and it's been charged since 7 AM and I've been using it constantly since morning!!
After 20 days, it stopped receiving signal and data, in short, I don't have a mobile phone. It's been a month since I've been waiting for it to be fixed... The issue is known, so I wouldn't buy a similar one again
