''Equalizing'' phono amplifier with dual monaural and fully-balanced input/output circuitry. The design of the PE-505 was achieved based on TEAC's audio technology expertise, focusing on recording and playback, aiming for the accurate reproduction of the original intent of the record's producers/creators.

The PE-505 will amplify even very weak audio signals received from the cartridge, process them without coloration, and then faithfully deliver them to keep the listener as close as possible to the original sound recorded before it was etched onto the master disc.

• From the head amplifier to the buffer amplifier sections at the final output stage, the PE-505 uses a fully balanced circuit design at all stages, which amplifies, balances, and maintains the purity of the signal, even for the weakest audio signals received from a cartridge.
