The phone is seemingly fine for the basic usage it is intended for, BUT it can only store 50 SMS messages, so you constantly have to delete the older ones! I expected it to have minimal memory because the previous phone of the same type that I bought for my mother was like that, so I also bought a micro SD card so that she wouldn't have to do that anymore and could keep them forever (since infinite texts could fit on an SD card). Unfortunately, the options menu DOES NOT allow SMS to be stored on the SD card, only MMS has that option, so it is essentially a useless feature for memory expansion since such devices are not phones for multimedia use and no one uses MMS but sends multimedia through email and social apps (which she sees on her tablet). It is inconceivable that this simple ability to store SMS on the SD card does not exist, the fact that other companies have this practice does not make it OK! Atrocious!
The review concerns this specific phone regarding its price and capabilities. You can't compare it to smartphones. The reviews about photos and resolution are silly. You won't get such a cheap phone for this job. It is mainly for the elderly and provides all the basics, good call quality, signal, very good sound, very good radio, easy flashlight, SOS, everything that an elderly person needs. As for the comment below that it locks the keys, it requires a little searching but it also deactivates the locks, so it is immediately accessible and does not hinder its use.
Since it is intended for the elderly, the menu should be simpler in terms of opening the screen to make a call. That is, you have to press any button and then quickly press the button --- top left and then press the * button to unlock it. This process is quite complicated for an elderly person. It should simply unlock the screen by pressing any button and be able to immediately enter the number you want to call.
Its settings are very minimal, while it should provide several options so that someone can adjust it according to the needs and familiarity with these devices for the elderly. For example, it should have the option to disable the screen lock that I mentioned earlier. It also does not have the ability to select the ringtone. Perhaps there is a possibility to adjust the above, but the almost non-existent manual that accompanies it (which is in English) is not helpful at all.
Purchase for my elderly mother. Perfect, lightweight, extremely user-friendly. Battery lasts for days and charges quickly. The phone has basic functions, so it doesn't make sense to talk about photo resolution, etc. It serves its purpose flawlessly
Simple, easy and user-friendly phone with all the necessary features one needs to get their work done. The menu is incredibly user-friendly, fast and reminds me a lot of the first amazing Nokia phones - it's almost the same.
It has a powerful flashlight, a radio with good reception (built-in antenna), backlit keys with sounds (or not), endless and removable battery like the old ones, and finally, crystal clear call quality.
The screen is a typical readable screen with good contrast but outdated resolution and viewing angles compared to the latest smartphones, but it doesn't bother even an elderly person. The same goes for the camera... it's just there for a mediocre-small photo of 0.3 MP, but it's still there. Similar phones in this price range don't have a camera at all.
The basic ringtone and message tones are limited and some of them remind me of children's songs. The speaker on the radio plays louder than necessary, while I would like a little more volume for the ringtone sounds.
The phone is a Single SIM and not Dual SIM as stated in the description, and it has very low SAR values. If someone knows what to expect from this type of phone and in this price category, I don't think they can be disappointed.
I only have positive things to say!! Good build quality, lightweight, easy to use, excellent sound quality, perfect signal, convenient for the elderly.
