ClearNOx – liquid that protects the SCR system from clogging
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
In a Seat Ibiza TDI from 2018, the check engine light (NOx sensor) would turn on every 1000 kilometers. After some research, I ended up using Total Clear NOx, doing a full refill from an empty tank, and adding Wynn's Crystal Clean Protect AdBlue additive 125ml, and nothing has turned on again!
Although I bought it at a significantly lower price (€23), I believe it is not worth the extra money compared to the others you can find even for just €10 (the 10-liter one, of course). For some reason, it consumed it much faster - the warning light came on at just 6500 km, while previously it would come on at 8-9000 - and any additional anti-crystallization additives can be added separately to regular Adblue, likely with a better result and significantly lower overall cost.
I have an Opel Grandland diesel (it's the same as the Peugeot 3008 mechanically) and I had a problem with the catalyst. I read the fault code with OBD and it referred to the Ad Blue pump. After I overcame the panic crisis from the 2000 euros I was reading for repairs, I calmly started to investigate. A friend recommended this one from TOTAL, and after I applied it, along with a supplement from Wynn's and driving some kilometers on the highway, it seems that the crystals formed by the dried Ad Blue dissolved and the fault cleared! Phew!!!!
Initially, the product is intended for vehicles with SCR and not EGR systems. Both systems require a DPF particle filter and aim to make Diesel vehicles cleaner... but they have different operating methods, slightly different maintenance products, and certainly different damage outputs. Comparatively, proven and tested by me, with equivalent (and branded) products on the market, this particular one leaves fewer residues (crystallizations). Clearly, it is not the most economical on the market (but neither the most expensive). It is recommended by the Stelantis group due to Total's close collaboration with the PSA Group. It carries and displays the necessary certifications. I have been using it continuously in PSA passenger cars for at least three years, and they have not presented any problems.
