Children deserve the best, which is why we present to you the Chicco Baby Stroller, ideal for those looking for quality products for the little ones!
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
We bought the stroller for our first child after trying to use 3 other strollers that were given to us by relatives and friends. The main problem we encountered with the other strollers was their size (small elevators and lack of sidewalks in the center of Athens) and their weight. The options in small size were not many, and we finally chose the One4Ever because it was the newest model compared to other Chicco strollers and other brands, and from the company's videos, it seemed technologically more advanced in terms of folding/opening, seat changes, and overall handling.
The stroller comes with two seats. Seat 1 is suitable from newborn up to 22 kg / 4 years old, and seat 2 is suitable from 6 months up to 22 kg / 4 years old. In other words, based on the specifications, seat 1 can cover the entire lifespan of the stroller. Seat 1 locks onto the stroller facing the parents or facing the road, and its backrest can be fully adjusted (for newborns) up to ~90 degrees.
Seat 2 is 1 kg lighter, locks onto the stroller facing the road, and generally feels less bulky and reinforced, so it might make more sense to use it as the child grows and perhaps offers more comfort for summer. It has reclining positions for the child to lie down, but it does not fully recline.
Overall, the stroller is lightweight both in weight and construction, so it does not have the thick covers that other strollers have, the protections for cold weather, etc. Only 5-point harnesses, a horizontal bar, and a reclining stand for the edge of the legs (for older children). However, the canopies can be lowered quite low, and it comes with a waterproof transparent additional canopy that covers the entire opening of the stroller, for rain, wind, and extreme cold. When we set it up, we had a concern about the cold, but we saw that you can easily adjust one of the many universal footmuffs available in the market at relatively good prices.
We bought the compatible car seat / infant carrier Kaily (up to 6 months / 13 kg) with the stroller for three reasons: (a) it is convenient to attach the car seat directly to the stroller for longer trips that require a car, without having to take the child out of the seat, (b) the car seat we were given was quite old / worn out, and (c) because the stroller, as we mentioned, is quite lightweight in construction, our mother had a concern that the child was more exposed than she would like. However, compared to the latter and since we tested it in practice, we must say that although the car seat may visually appear light, if the child is properly secured, it is extremely stable and the child is comfortable - so it is more of a psychological concern because the child's sides are not covered in the horizontal position. I should note that to attach the car seat to the stroller, you need an adapter that you naturally buy separately (~35 euros).
The opening / closing of the stroller (with the seats - it does not close with the car seat, you simply remove it and close the frame) is as easy as it appears in the company's videos. I don't know yet how easy it is to do it with one hand, maybe with some practice it can be done. However, it does not require strength and is very quick. The space it occupies is very small - about the size of a carry-on suitcase, maybe even slightly smaller.
On the road, it requires a little more attention from larger strollers because it is more maneuverable and sharper in turns, but it moves very comfortably on inclines, declines, potholes, going up and down sidewalks, etc. Some vibrations pass on to the child, even though the stroller has suspension on all wheels. However, this also happens with larger strollers and in any case, the child does not complain or seem uncomfortable - I would even say they like it.
Overall, we are quite satisfied for now and it seems that the stroller will fully meet our needs. We will inform you if any durability issues arise. In terms of price, obviously we would prefer to spend less money (we bought the stroller, car seat, and adapters for the car seat for 560 euros with a small discount from a store in the center of Peristeri), but having tried various options, we wanted something good, seemingly reliable, and with the features we needed so that we wouldn't have to deal with it again.
