The cinematic fog effect is created by evenly distributing a fine layer of black nano powder between two layers of optical glass and then bonding them together.

This filter is made from optical glass to maintain image detail, but the glass is not multi-coated to provide enhanced flares. The slim aluminum frame can be used on wide-angle lenses without vignetting.
