38 reviews and none (!!!) mentioned the most important thing of all, as it is not mentioned in the description: the version of Android. If I didn't know about Realme and didn't search elsewhere for what version of operating system it has and will receive in the future, I probably wouldn't buy it. So:
For its price category, it is amazing if someone wants a stylish phone to make/receive calls, use social media, take photos if they see something nice on their way, not run out of battery, have NFC, they will buy it and enjoy it. Coming from Realme 7i, I knew what to expect. I use it as a phone because it is a phone and I bought it as a phone, not as a camera or a gaming device.
Now, the basics: In the unnecessarily large box, there is the device, a bulky travel charger, a USB Type C cable, a case, and the necessary tray for two SIM cards and the memory card. Fortunately, the case is a bit dark because the transparent ones turn yellow and distort the appearance of the phone over time. I never use a case for my phone, but it may be useful for some as the phone is plastic. Good quality, but still plastic. Also, as seen in the photos, the black is purplish-blue. I should note that the phone is incredibly thin and light!
The phone comes with Android 12 and automatically upgrades to Android 13 with the first use, according to Realme it will also automatically receive version 14 in the first half of 2024***. Almost pure operating system, you can uninstall some games that are in the stock version. The operating system occupies about 12GB (out of 256GB), the internal memory is 8GB and can be expanded by 8GB to reach a total of 16GB. You will have to change this yourself from the Settings, as the factory setting is at +4GB instead of +8GB. Also, the screen supports a refresh rate of 90Hz, but I disabled it as it slows down the phone, increases battery consumption, and I don't care because I don't play games. It supports face recognition, has a side fingerprint sensor, has a 3.5mm jack for wired headphones, something that is not mentioned in the specifications on Skroutz, and also has automatic device activation and deactivation. Unfortunately, it only has one speaker, but in its price category and as far as we know in advance, it remains decent. Its placement on the bottom side of the phone may create a problem for open listening or video calls when charging it on a stand or for those who play games with sound. Personally, it doesn't bother me because I use either Bluetooth headphones or an external Bluetooth speaker 2.0 and everything is fine.
However, the most important thing and the reason why I bought it (besides the clean operating system without manufacturer apps like Xiaomi or Samsung) is the presence of NFC. It is supported through Google Pay, with which you can link your card and... voila! No registrations, nothing, just enter your card details! If you also have your ID in the gov.gr wallet, you literally go out without a wallet! I should also mention that cloning your old phone and transferring ALL your data to the Realme 10 is very easy, following the steps during the first activation.
In conclusion: If you want a very good phone for the use that the majority of users make (calls, messages, social media, surfing), clean from unnecessary apps and with NFC support, get it with closed eyes.
P.S: Finally, the extra News Feed screen has been removed.
P.S.2: There is no need to buy tempered glass as it is already pre-installed on the device.
P.S.3: Regarding the durability of Realme, I must say that the 7i, almost 4 years later, still works like new, without any glitches, without any external damage, I just wanted a phone with NFC.
***EDIT 24/6/2024: Upgraded to realme UI 5.0 | Android 14!
It doesn't stick, it works perfectly fine, everything is nice and good, but this issue with the camera is really the worst. Okay, I didn't expect something super like more expensive models, but this flaw really wasn't present in older models either. It's a shame, really
I bought the phone at the price of €210. I have to say that it is very satisfactory in almost all its functions, e.g. it takes good photos and videos, it charges very quickly with its charger, etc. Finally, the resolution of the screen is very good.
When I got it, it was €180... very good phone for the money I spent... 8 months and it's still going strong.
I bought this as a replacement for the Realme 7 5G. The processor comfortably reaches 2 GHz but is limited there. The screen is vibrant, clear, and the quality is exactly as advertised. I feel that the phone is not properly calibrated from the factory and I had to lower the screen to 60 Hz from the factory's 90 because otherwise the battery would drain in less than a day. The camera was the part that disappointed me as it lags significantly, especially when you want to take many photos and its lens takes a long time to focus or loses focus abruptly for no reason.
I have had it for about 7-8 months, it is a pretty good phone but not for 280 euros. In terms of responsiveness, I have no issues; it hardly ever lags, very rarely it might lag a little, but the camera is very poor for its price. Honestly, I had a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 which cost 140 euros and takes better photos and videos. Unfortunately for me, this is where its end came as it fell from a height of about 1 meter and the camera glass broke, but I can't find it anywhere. Also, after the fall, the Bluetooth doesn't work properly; the headphones lag and it doesn't connect easily to the internet, and it doesn't pick up if you go a little further from the router. In my opinion, as a not very demanding user, I believe it is not worth the 280 euros it costs. A refurbished one for the same money would be a thousand times better and more durable.
I have had it for a year now and it does not differ in any way relative to its price with other phones. I was very hesitant because I had not tried the company before, but I was very satisfied
Owner here for 4 months...... we have and we cry....... relatively quick response to whatever you open or do, lately my interlocutors don't hear me very well, also daytime photos quite good, nighttime not so much
Everything is great about it. It loses one star because it has a completely pointless setting to hide the front camera which DOES NOT work. We got the phone with Android 12, it upgraded to 13 and then to 14, and even now you need a downloaded app to hide the camera.
Very good, shiny, fast!! Battery, video, internet are amazing...
On the downside, the sound and the camera...
They simply don't have the quality that accompanies the rest of the phone...
I'm curious though that I got it for €150 and now I see it at €250....
For €250, I wouldn't buy it... For €150, absolutely!!
Maybe because it's old and probably you can't find it anymore... What can I say...
For €150, it definitely rocks!!
In addition to what they write, I want to emphasize the very strong bluetooth!
I have been amazed by the range it responds.
It doesn't lag in applications at all, and for the 150 euros I paid, I think it's more than perfect.
The screen is easily readable in full brightness with sunglasses under the midday sun, something that in previous phones, let alone...
Already owning this mobile phone for a few days, coming from Realme 8 (also an awesome phone). I declare absolutely satisfied with the value for money it offers. Yes, it doesn't take perfect photos (perhaps its most significant drawback), but anyway it is a phone in the range of 150-180 euros, so no one expects to have super duper lenses. Otherwise, I am absolutely satisfied with the speed, stability, battery, screen, just like I was with the Realme 8. Overall, in recent years, I think Realme has the most value-for-money phones, and the 10 follows this logic. And based on this logic, I rate it with 5 stars.
Coming from realme 7i and generally from low budget phones I have to say the following: First of all, the screen is amazing for the money. It also has gorilla glass which makes it a little safer. Secondly, its battery lasts for 1 and a half day for sure with moderate use so you can't say it's very good. It is compensated by the super fast charging which charges from 15 to 100% in 1 hour!!! Thirdly, it performs the functions of the applications without any major issues. Fourth, it is quite light and thin!! It has been upgraded to android 14 and it's great! Front camera is excellent, back camera is satisfactory! The memory can be expanded to 16gb if there is available internal space!! In conclusion, for the 170 euros I bought it, the phone is amazing!!!!
I got it for my son (teenager) and it's perfect for the money. No issues so far (1+ month).
For its price, it is a good phone, it's just that the only thing that bothers me is its operating system, I can't get used to it... There is something wrong with the microphone and I don't sound good on calls since I got it.. that is the only flaw I have noticed
Very fast phone, with good battery life, good call quality, and a good screen. If someone wants it for photos, it is disappointing. It takes quite good photos only when the hand is very stable and the object is stable, otherwise you can't understand what you captured in the photo. It shakes quite a bit in videos.
Okay, the phone is amazing. Incredible screen. Incredible speed. Incredible browsing. First time with Realme. I'm blown away. It's like having an iPhone because my friends have it. Before, I had Xiaomi. No comparison. No crashes or anything. I'm blown away. For this price, there's no other phone that can compete
2 identical phones for use by 16-year-old children. Apart from the absence of 5G and the plastic back, the device is fine and I am very satisfied with the little use I have given it
I got it for my brother with the sole criterion "not to lag" as he requested. He is a former owner of various devices from iPhone to Samsung Xiaomi, etc. He found it "perfect, it doesn't lag at all" and commented that it has a perfect screen as well. As soon as I held it, I noticed good quality, sturdy build, and the camera is okay, let's say. As for the battery, I don't even need to ask him, it is well-known that it is very good. (Edit after a few months: he's amazed by the battery, always talking about it, haha)
There is no better mobile phone for this price. We are talking about a beast of performance, very good camera, flawless battery and charging time.
Well, I have had the phone for over a year now and words are unnecessary. It is very fast and does not lag at all. It has also received all the Android updates and there are no issues. The memory is large and never runs out. The camera is quite satisfactory, but in the dark, it is like a phone camera that costs €100 or less. The only negative I have found is that on days with a lot of heat, it overheats as well.
It is one of the best value-for-money choices in the market, with clean software without bloatware and overall very good performance in all areas (it can even run PS2 emulation at almost 100% speed).
Just fine. Nothing special and nothing important. It's a normal phone and from my perspective, only the design is impressive. Compared to the poco m4 pro, it's the same experience. For its price, I don't think it's worth it and it doesn't have 5g.
I have almost always had Xiaomi phones, all the series, and in recent years the Mi series up to the Mi12. I decided to switch categories and companies. Fully satisfied with the processor, battery, screen, and design for the price, I highly recommend it. As for games, I have no opinion because I rarely play. I will come back soon for extras because I have only had it for 5 days.
