For its price, it is very good, but do not choose it for medium with high-end gaming PC. It has a lot of bottleneck and will cut performance from the graphics card
Very good processor and it's no wonder that it's recommended by the majority of reviewers abroad for mid-high end gaming setups. I bought it for 180 euros instead of the 7600x because they practically have a difference of 1-2 fps, so I decided to spend more on a case with many pre-installed fans.
The processor has truly wonderful performance and does exactly what it advertises: it supports everything. Yes, its temperatures in highly intensive games rise to 90 degrees, but with the Arctic Freezer 36 CO (FOR 29 EUROS), I haven't seen it go above 60 degrees (a difference of -30 degrees). AMD says that even 105C is okay for the 7000 series, but it stressed me out, so I got a cooler.
I undervolted it and in Cinebench, I raised my score by 1000 by buying the cooling I mentioned. I don't know if I'm one of the lucky ones who has good silicon, but my 7600 reached -45 in PBO without instability anywhere. I haven't overclocked it, but if I do, I'll update on the results.
Additionally, it's AM5, which means that in the next 5-6 years, you'll be able to upgrade to a new AM5 processor. 8 years later, AMD is still releasing AM4 processors, just think about that. At the same time, with the update to 24H2, from reviews I've read, the 7000 series has over a 10% overall increase in fps. We're getting free performance gains that are truly worth it for me.
Just be careful that it doesn't support over 5200 MT/s in DDR5 RAM. Mine are at 6000, and while they now run at 6000 with XMP, the computer takes a "little" longer to boot, which personally doesn't bother me. This could also be affected by the motherboard, so if yours is faster than mine, it may not delay you at all.
The ultimate value for money processor for non-extreme gaming systems. For tasks that utilize many cores, it's worth getting the higher-end models, but for gaming, it does the job perfectly. In a few months, the AMD 9000 series will be released and the price may drop even further. Note: the stock cooler with PBO on auto mode doesn't do a good job, I bought an aftermarket cooler (arctic freezer 36). So, if the price is close to the 7600x, get the latter and get a cooler from the start.
Quite fast, especially when it comes to multitasking. The power consumption is very low at 65W. Gets hot easily by design but doesn't throttle under 95⁰C. Stock cooler sufficient if in a case with good airflow.
If you are a normal gamer, you can install up to 4080-7900xtx and play 2k-4k ultra without any problems. Excellent processor, under the condition that it is the best until the next generation
I was satisfied with the composition I have, the box is quite small and I wanted it to be able to play games. I ended up with this one which doesn't easily overheat like the xxxxX model but it also doesn't struggle. Thank you for the comments here that helped in its selection.
Good processor .. Together with a 4070rtx .. anything more is just marketing exaggerations unless you have a 4090rtx then yes to get something a little more powerful .. The most normal in price on the pc along with the motherboard .. b650m gigabyte everything works perfectly
I have no problem so far. The processor works with RX 7700Xt 12GB OC. In terms of performance, I have no problem, not even with temperatures!! For example, in Fortnite everything is on ultra at 1920 resolution and it reaches a maximum of 47 degrees.
Good choice for a processor and especially for future upgrades as it is in socket am5 which will be used in the future. Good multitasking. The only negative is the temperature. Although the brand claims that it generally runs at high temperatures, the processor's cooler is not enough, so a change to an aftermarket cooler will be necessary. In fact, the difference is significant as before, during light use, it reached 60 degrees and reached 92 degrees, while with the change to an aftermarket cooler, the temperature dropped to 40 degrees during light use and reached up to 70 degrees in benchmark tests at 100% usage. Overall opinion is that it is a good processor but with a different cooler.
Very satisfied with the performance and quality of this processor. It is very good in terms of speed and multitasking. Battlefield 4 runs on low settings at around 50-60 fps without a GPU, which I did not expect. I recommend it if you are considering building a system with good value for money. Also, it comes with the stock CPU cooler and is excellent for basic use.
Good.... Ball! With the combination of Rx 6600, it reaches 500fps+ in Fortnite (with specific settings). It can handle Call Of Duty and Assassin's Creed Odyssey opening smoothly at the same time. The graphics are fantastic. It's worth it with a good graphics card.
Very good processor and value for money if you want to invest in the new am5 platform. Very good performance, I mainly use it for 3D rendering of buildings in an engineering program and it does a perfect job. With the b650 tomahawk moba and 6000mhz ram. I will also upload benchmarks with games in the future
It's a warhorse, upgraded from FX-8370, and from having various microstutters or stuttering in games (Escape from Tarkov, Forza Motorsport 7), now it runs smoothly with GTX 970.
The truth is that it easily and quickly raises temperature (with Endorfy Spartan 5 it reached 90c in seconds but stayed there without any mention of thermal throttling. In gaming, it hasn't exceeded 80c.)
Now that its price has dropped, I recommend it without a second thought. If you're concerned about temperature, get a larger cooler or even liquid cooling
It was my first country on a Ryzen processor, as well as my first PC build! I am extremely satisfied, as it has been running flawlessly so far (2 months). (I should note that I removed the factory paste and applied my own).
Extremely good! Great value for transitioning to the AM5 platform at around 200 euros. Coming from an Intel 6700k, finally made the switch to AMD! No issues, stable in everything, and for those with temperature concerns, just a moderate air cooling will more than suffice!
A very good processor with almost identical performance to the 7600x while consuming much less power. I have absolutely no problem with it and have combined it with the 7900xt. Of course, it is weak for this specific card, but I preferred to get this one and switch to the Ryzen 5 8600x next year. The use I make of my PC is only for gaming. The cooler that comes in the package keeps it fine, but I preferred to put the Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 which keeps it at perfect temperatures, it doesn't need anything more, it's more than enough.
Awesome chip that with a few tweaks becomes better than the 7600X. It comes with a standard cooler in the box but I wouldn't recommend it. Overall, at the price it is now, I wouldn't recommend this processor. It falls behind AMD's specifications compared to the 7600X but in Greece, its price is 30 euros more expensive than the 7600X!!!!!! When the price reaches where it should be, get it without hesitation. 3 stars for the price only.
