The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a third-person action-adventure game spanning galaxies from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.
This single-player, narrative-driven title takes place five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows Cal's increasingly desperate struggle as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Driven to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by new and familiar threats.
As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is forced to stand against the galaxy's darkest moments - but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order? To survive, players will rely on Cal's training with an expanded list of iconic Force abilities, combat stances, and lightsaber customizations that can be combined in new and different ways to fight as a Jedi.
While the Force is a powerful ally, it may not be enough. Cal will need to get creative and master new abilities, tactics, and even leverage the environment around him to overcome the obstacles ahead. Star Wars™ fans will travel to new planets and familiar frontiers as Cal attempts to reunite the crew of the Stinger Mantis.
New Force abilities, equipment, and upgrades will allow players to seek out, explore, and traverse in new ways across many planets, each with its own unique challenges to overcome. The galaxy is full of stories, secrets, and treasures to be uncovered by those willing to face the dangers of straying from the beaten path.
No longer a Padawan, Cal has come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight. Carrying with him the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous. The Dark Times are approaching - with new and familiar enemies surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he is willing to go to save those closest to him.
The cinematic combat system returns with additional Force abilities and new lightsaber fighting styles. Creatively leverage all these abilities and weapons to strategically tackle an expanded array of enemies, identifying their strengths and weaknesses while smartly using your training to overcome your opponents and solve the mysteries that lie in your path.
Discover new planets and familiar frontiers in the Star Wars galaxy, each with unique biomes, challenges, and enemies. Master new skills, equipment, and abilities that will enhance the ways you explore, fight, and roam. With larger areas to explore and more to discover off the beaten path, players who venture beyond the horizon will find hidden rewards.

The purchase was made for PS5 and in the first minutes of the game, you are impressed by the graphics. Unfortunately, the joy fades quickly as at the first boss of the game, the game freezes and kicks you out. The only solution I managed to find online was to play in performance mode, which I did since it happened to me many times at different points in the game when I tried to set it to quality. Excellent graphics, nice gameplay but it doesn't touch the first one.
I liked this one quite a bit. It is improved compared to Fallen Order and even more interesting. Generally, it is one of the games that a Star Wars fan and not only will enjoy. The only thing that tired me at times is the dialogues with some characters.
- Story 9/10
- Graphics 8.5/10
- Gameplay 9.5/10
- Sound 10/10
Of course, at 19 euros, it is the best deal.
Very good story and amazing plot twist. As for the gameplay, it's a mix of souls + platform. Regarding the latter, if you are a fan of the genre, you will love it; if not, it will frustrate you. Yes, there are collectibles, but mostly for aesthetic reasons. On the PS5, it runs fine except for some fps drops and some screen tearing.
I spent a total of 50 hours, and I wish the current TV series had such interest.
Although I am a big fan of the universe as well as the first game in the series, I must admit that the game disappointed me tremendously, even though I had a good time and I don't particularly regret the time I spent with it.
Positives initially:
+ Improved mechanics in almost all areas
+ Beautiful world, lovable characters, and a nice central "hub" cantina with interesting things to see and interact with.
+ Very good variety of enemies, customization of clothing and weaponry, and ways to tackle each battle.
Therefore, we are talking about a very nice gaming feel overall, but unfortunately, the positives stop here...
Negatives:
- Unacceptable technical issues even 1 year+ after its release, mainly on PC. Enemies fall through the floor, fps drops, doors take up to 5 seconds to open to load rooms, and any annoying nonsense one might imagine and expect in an early access game...
- Disappointing main story, main antagonists, and unsatisfactory conclusion to the story. They tried to introduce new elements from the Disney era like the High Republic and the Hidden Path from the Kenobi series, which were poorly implemented and felt "forced" to satisfy their marketing mechanism.
- Almost complete absence of serious side quests and short main story duration, resulting in the world feeling dead and terrifyingly empty after completion.
- Excessive number of collectibles and upgrades that require spending more than double the time needed for the main story to find, and are very difficult to locate, meaning that upon finishing the main story, most likely no one will have found even half of them.
- Absence of any meaningful dialogue choices or decisions, resulting in frustration over the protagonist's choices at certain points and a significant impact on the desire to replay the game.
- Environment design with a logic from over a decade ago that breaks the illusion that the place you are in is real. A tragic number of invisible walls that seem passable but ultimately are not, surfaces that are simply the designer's decision that you can climb compared to others. Narrow passages between areas to load the next as you slowly crawl through, and rooms with 1 door and 3 closed walls inside that serve only to spawn enemies out of nowhere.
Unfortunately, overall, it is a very disappointing sequel to the first game on many significant fronts, which makes me lose faith in the studio for the 3rd and final installment of the series.
Very good game, much better than the previous one which was confusing on where to go and what to do and monotonous. Very nice tracks that constantly changed, one moment you were in a forest, the next in a desert and various other places, you could choose between two additional swords together or one that contained two swords from both sides which was also faster. It had different things to do like riding various strange creatures on the planets you visited, customization of your character's clothes, hair, mustache etc, nice puzzles (not very difficult like other games where you had to watch videos on youtube to solve them. Negatives I would say some details like the micro transactions. 4.5 stars.
Amazing game, upgraded in all areas from its predecessor. Its gameplay reminds me of Assassin's Creed Odyssey. It has fast travel, which greatly reduces the feeling of tediousness from backtracking in the first title. It's quite long, around 20 hours (not counting the side missions). If you're a fan of Star Wars, there is no better game.
The sequel to the excellent Fallen Order is wonderful.
The continuation of the story is epic, as are the characters involved.
The graphics are clearly improved, and the gameplay and lightsaber battles are thrilling, with Cal's movements and style enriched compared to the previous game.
The planets and level designs with all the puzzles are enchanting.
All of this is accompanied by excellent sound and soundtrack.
Real gem for anyone who loves the Star Wars universe! Nice variety in powers and use of the Lightsaber. 100 times better than the first one. It's worth the investment!
The continuation of Cal Kestis' adventures comes clearly improved in many aspects, and the new additions make it very entertaining, proving that Respawn has the talent to create remarkable single-player experiences. Unfortunately, the positives that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor may contain are overshadowed by the numerous technical issues it has, which instead of being resolved with the continuous patches that are made available, add new problems to it. It definitely needs a lot more work to eliminate all of these, so the only thing we can recommend is to have some patience and wait a while, in order to experience the best gaming Star Wars experience you have ever had.

I have no words, really. If this game had proper marketing and reputation from a good company, it would win any award that exists. And this is coming from a genuine gamer who has played everything from Spiderman to Elden Ring to the new Zelda this year. AAAA production, gameplay, story, longevity, everything is top-notch.
What can one say about this amazing game! It was underestimated at the beginning when it was released due to poor optimization, but they fixed it after months (September 2023 when I got it). Wonderful graphics, highly upgraded gameplay compared to the previous one, AMAZING level-design, very good story! I highly recommend it for PS5!
Crystal clear graphics, amazing dualsense vibrations, and fantastic sound. Modern gameplay and a great storyline. The only negative for me, just like in the previous game, is its design, as I find the map and its tracks tiring, constantly having to search for where to go and watching videos to understand.
The game is very powerful! It has some technical issues, but nothing terrible that will ruin the experience. If you have played the first one and liked it, I think you will love this one. If you haven't played the first one, it would be good to do so in order to better understand the story and appreciate this one a little more. See you, I'm going for platinum!
I bought a physical copy only to be asked for a 110gb download? And then when I finally downloaded it, the "tutorial" popped up and told me I needed to download another patch to proceed? It's a shame that things like this still happen in 2023, especially from companies like Respawn. Let's get to the point now. The graphics are nice, but unfortunately it has some strange options like ray tracing on, which causes drops for no reason. The sound, from what I played, was good. For me, it's not worth the 9s it gets in reviews. A 7.5 with potential to go up if it's fixed, yes.
Awesome game, continuation of the previous one. It has plenty of puzzles and great use of sabers. However, I give it 4 stars because it came out with quite a few bugs. Of course, it has already received an update. It's worth 100%. I would recommend people to wait a month for more updates to come out.
Very good, here we are talking about the epic Star Wars Jedi Survivor, for more information some settings you need to do at the beginning because there are still many bugs, you can see the relevant video at the link below...
Although I am still at the beginning, the game is fantastic!! Surely the continuation of the 19th will be epic... However, you must have played the previous one to understand what has come out. Perhaps the negative is where when you die, it throws you far back where you have saved it...
