It doesn't really resemble tempered glass or maybe I forgot what tempered glass is, it's more like thick and rigid rubber. It requires excellent placement to avoid bubbles on the screen and very good centering. Personally, I like the overall look even though it gets marks very easily due to the construction material, which I didn't "feel" with a normal glass from another brand (I won't advertise, you can research).
