First of all, pay attention to the dual title. It is NOT DUALSIM, it takes a nano sim and a memory card up to 32gb. It is a very simple device. First charge as soon as I opened it and I still can't make any analysis. Simple construction in the old classic menu. Up to 2000 contacts luckily it takes from a vcard file (if you have a backup from elsewhere). The flight mode function is not in the profiles. It is done through settings.
I put it next to the Panasonic KX-TU160 in the photos.
If the use is for an elderly person, the KX-TU160 is definitely more convenient. It has larger buttons and bigger numbers on the screen.
The KX-TU250, on the other hand, is a better phone. It has a better screen, a slightly larger battery (+100mAh), a slightly better camera, and it is also 4G. It also has a more modern user menu. Yes, an elderly person will do just fine with both. I just think that with the KX-TU160, it will be easier.
If someone for some reason wants to use it for telephony and 4G networks, then the KX-TU250 is the only option. Of course, the question is how much more useful 4G is today just for calls, and how well it will manage the 4G network compared to the KX-TU160, which works excellently on 2G networks. Also, let's not forget that 2G networks have a greater range at each of their antennas, so there are smaller gaps without signal.
Edit 12/2024. Without having any problems, I switched to the Panasonic KX-TU550. If you buy a phone now, you must go for 4G / 5G. Don't stick to 2G. The only reason is to have VoLTE so that voice calls can go through modern networks with better quality and better signal.
