For me... there is no competition at this price. Everything else... has been said by anargyros above. Excellent phone. The only thing that bothered me is that it doesn't come with a charger in the package. But that's not a reason to give a negative review of the phone.
2nd Update: As a purchase for the year 2024, it is not worth it. Prefer the A25 5G 8/256 GB with the Exynos 1280.
Update from a fall with a Spigen case; it hit between the fingerprint sensor on the side and the phone's casing. The fingerprint module overheated, and no matter how many restarts someone does, it NO longer works. The lock button unlocks just fine.
Unfortunately, it is not easily repairable; the repair parts + labor... are a dealbreaker at 150+ VAT. Unfortunately, they are not repairable like the iPhones - although there we are talking about a different price range. If it happens to you and the fingerprint sensor breaks, you are forced to use a PIN for all applications and unlock the phone with your photo or PIN.

The A33 5G, which is higher in price and features than this device, has a Fingerprint Sensor under the Screen... and has an AMOLED screen that easily breaks inside during a fall, not the outer glass. You will have it without a Screen Protector... it is a matter of time before the miracle happens, and you are left without a phone with a broken screen.
In conclusion, this device is between the A33 5G and the A13 5G and the A14 5G, which is the successor to the A13. It has a Fingerprint Sensor on the Side, which is very important for putting on a case and protecting the Screen, and it has good features for the price of the device at 220 euros.

TL;DR: I had the worst experience with a phone, GENERALLY. I decided to try Samsung (from Xiaomi), thinking I would spend a little more for Samsung quality, and I REGRET MY MONEY.
I bought this device about a year ago. I had saved some money and, as a student, I did quite extensive research on what I could get for around €250 that would be worth it.
It should be noted here that I have gone through various phones: Sony, Lenovo, Xiaomi...
After a lot of searching, I ended up with this one. I had seen online that it takes nice photos (which mattered to me), the battery lasted all day with below-average usage... and I said, "I will get this!".
Well, I don't know how I messed up, but I made the biggest mistake I could in purchasing a mobile device.
For starters, it cost around €240 to €260, without a charger, which I knew. What I DIDN'T know was that it would lag like a 3-year-old phone.
I don't know why, but it's unacceptable. First, because it's Samsung, and second, because I paid €260 and got something that didn't work as it should.
As soon as I opened the device, I set it up, connected to a wireless network, etc... and the UI had terrible delays.
I did all the updates, searched online for tips on how to fix it, but nothing.
I don't know why this happened, as I see many saying it's one of the best phones they've used. The possibilities are three:
1. Either they don't know what they're talking about.
2. Or I ended up with a defective device.
3. Or they are paid.
Great disappointment, both from a financial standpoint and from the company itself.
Of course, somewhere in the 6th month, a car ran over it (long story). The screen shattered, but when I put my fingerprint, the device makes the unlocking sound. At some point, I will change the screen, just to get my files, and then... to the trash.
I personally believe that for its price it is the best, I have had it for 2 years, I play a lot of games all the time and it doesn't lag at all, it also has an extremely good battery. The only downside is the camera AT NIGHT only
In idle state, it is cool. However, during use, especially when watching videos, it overheats to the point that my fingertips get uncomfortable. If you touch the screen with your palm, you realize how hot it has gotten. Disappointing! I have never experienced this with any other phone!
For a kid like me, it's a pretty good phone for the first year, but after one year I've noticed that when I plug it in to charge at night, I wake up the next day and not only is it not 100%, but the battery has dropped even more. In short, for a kid for whom this phone will be their first, it's worth it, but I wouldn't recommend it in any case for adults.
Disappointment simply.
A year-old phone drags, freezes, fingerprint sensor makes you pray for it to work, heats up very easily, I don't even dare to put it in a case. Just charging it makes it heat up, I use it out of necessity because I don't have another phone.
I've been taking it for inspection for a week, it was freezing from the start but I thought that's how it was, but it's getting worse over time.

Professional phone, they gave it to us at work, but it is frustratingly slow, I am surprised how much it lags and makes me think that 4gbRAM is probably too little for android. The use I make is calls, viber, zoom, email and maps. If I had paid for it, I would simply regret my money, now I just make do.
I always used to buy Samsung, but this choice disappointed me. I have had it for 1 year and it freezes incredibly, really nerve-wracking. The night photos are unacceptable. The only really good thing is the battery.

In general, if you buy this brand, it will only be reliable if you spend 700. The Chinese one is superior for this money!
VFM for the money, it is very good! The screen is of very good quality, the speaker is very powerful, the photos are good, I'm not a photographer but I didn't have a problem.
The most useless mobile phone I have ever had in my hands. It freezes if you have more than two apps open, you constantly have to close and delete them just for it to function normally. Its camera is only good for outdoor shots in perfect lighting, if you manage to activate the camera button immediately. The night photos are not even worth it, not even with a 20-year-old mobile phone. The videos also have issues, most of the time it shows that it's recording but it's not. Lastly, during calls, if you have a screen protector and quickly remove the earpiece, the screen doesn't unlock, so you have to use the fingerprint sensor first to end the call. No go, even if they give it to you for free
The camera is extremely disappointing for a phone, let alone a Samsung. It also has micro lags (e.g. when switching applications quickly) and overall it is not one of the fastest mobile phones. If there is something that saves this mobile phone, it is the 120hz which are very pleasant to use.
It lags a lot. It is not justified with Antutu 400,000. The old Redmi Note Pro 9 with Antutu 320,000 performs much better, day and night.
Coming from the Samsung Note 9, the only thing that was noticeably annoying is the photo quality of the A23. Very poor quality and very slow in capturing, which is frustrating. The battery lasts me the whole day reliably, set at 60 frames per second except for games. It is very fast with a large battery that lasts and has a nice screen, but don't expect good photo and video quality. The sound is not impressive either on phone calls or music volume. I would simply say it is decent in terms of sound.
The calls are mediocre in volume, besides that it has a significant delay in unknown calls for some reason. It freezes when using 5G, so I switched to 4G and it's somewhat better. The photos and videos are not good, I would say they are outdated technology. The speaker volume is low when on speakerphone during driving. The screen is dull, I would say. I don't like the purchase I made...
The screen is for crying, depressing photos, bad video, only for calls when it doesn't freeze.....
May 10 UPDATE: BLACK CRAP, and as time goes by they get even blacker, hahaha, Laughing to keep from crying. Many seconds delay in every touch, either for opening apps, making calls, or taking photos... Ready to give it up for a Xiaomi. Stay away.
update: Very dissatisfied with the speed and overall responsiveness to touches and commands. It's terribly slow, never again Samsung. Xiaomi all the way.
Initial review: Generally satisfied BUT there is a delay in response when I press apps, calls, etc. I was used to the immediate Huawei and it seems a bit slow to me. (Huawei was changed due to incompatibility with Google, what's up with that, be careful - many things do not work through other apks, etc.)
It is fast. The photo is good only in 4:3 format, but everything is the same with multiple cameras. The speaker is not that good. The battery is large but it drains quickly, 3-4 days without games and videos, only browsing and messaging
Excellent for everyday use.
A small disadvantage is the somewhat slow startup speed, but then it goes like a bullet!
I have had it for about 1.5 months now. Excellent battery life, even when watching videos and listening to music for several hours. Good camera, very good photo quality, and the sound is amazing!!!
It lags only when you want to run heavy games and have other tabs open. Otherwise, it is fully economical for a budget up to 250 euros. It charges quickly, but the only thing that bothers me is that Samsung no longer includes a C to C charger.
It was purchased for a family member for basic use. It has good build quality, is quite lightweight, and relatively fast for its category with minimal lag.
A very good mobile phone. Beautiful screen, fast response, impeccable speakers, very good camera, fast start with fingerprint and satisfactory battery life. It is important that it charged from 35% to 20 minutes. Samsung has managed to offer an absolutely VFM mobile with an economical proposal.

First of all, it's worth every penny and more. It's a very fast phone with a good camera (the best I've used among the phones I've owned), great for gaming and has a very smooth scroll on social media. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable phone.

Years with Samsung... A5 2016... A6 2018... I got this one now, I've had it for about 6 months... overall everything is good... BUT the damn thing is slow to respond... you click something... and you wait 3-4 seconds for it to wake up... for someone slow-paced... or if you're 60+ it's very good. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me... and I need to find something more agile.

Impressions after 6 months.
Call volume with the headset is moderate, open listening volume with the speaker is low and interrupted, volume for songs with the speaker is moderate! Battery life is moderate (consumes a lot of energy).
It lags at certain stages of use.....with minimal applications....
The touch for unlocking is often annoying.
The photos are very mediocre, no matter what settings I make, they can't be improved....good when in motion, but videos are terrible.....in addition, the screen doesn't display white objectively, very poor screen, a shame.
The screen is very mediocre (unacceptable for Samsung) and it's difficult to see in the sun (requires effort or shading with the hand).....of course, I still do my work....
It doesn't come with a charger (I bought a 25W fast charger).
It comes with a cable that can't be plugged into the charger I have, an adapter is needed, and there are no headphones included (there is a hole for headphones). It doesn't have a radio (never needed it).
Bluetooth connects easily and with everything, Wi-Fi connects easily and quickly, 5G is fast....
The GPS is very bad when it comes to navigation....many times I pass the intersection, for example, and then it tells me to turn, maybe it has to do with the application....
The very low SAR (0.36 head, 0.96 body) and the service are the very strong points!! They continue to be the best.....!!
After a few months and some updates, the freezes are more frequent and very annoying....
The adjustable brightness doesn't work properly, unacceptable and annoyingly slow.....bad purchase.
For the money, it's very good. The truth is, I had to replace my Ulefone due to poor after-sale service. A broken screen cost me 140 euros. I expected more from Samsung, which is more expensive, but it's okay. It's a reliable choice without any problems so far. The only issue is that the calls with the case on are muffled, as the case is 360, so it loses a bit of clarity in sound and voice.
Hello, I got a new phone because I gave my old one to my mother since hers was broken, and I thought I'd get something better for myself. However, I regretted it in the end. I had the One Plus Nord N100 before, which was better in every way and had better quality. The A23 isn't bad, I just think it should have been a bit cheaper, and it doesn't even come with a charger, which means if it costs 200, you have to spend an extra 25 euros for a charger, making it 225. I've only had it for a day, so I'll give you an overall impression after a while. I should mention that I got the One Plus for 99 euros on sale (half price). The only thing that really counts for Samsung is its software, which is nice and organized with many features compared to other brands. After about 2 months of use, I can say that I'm really satisfied and won't go to another brand.
I have it since 19/1/2023.
2. There is no problem, it is a very good phone. If I see something, I will come back. And don't write that it has a problem, if it is, get a more expensive phone that won't have a problem.
