After almost a year of having it, I would say that it simply "frees" your hands in some cases; obviously, all its measurements are hypothetically correct. However, I don't think that the price it asks for justifies the battery life or the daily charging it requires without replacing your phone, obviously. In terms of capabilities, it does what any other smartwatch would do, but having an iPhone or interaction is indirect and without glitches, obviously. If you don't have money to throw away, I would look at other alternatives that now offer indirect connectivity with Apple and battery life of days, not to mention weeks (see Xiaomi)
It is worth the money you spend and then some, but the battery is a downside. However, I can't give it less than 5 stars because all its other virtues, to put it simply, are just outstanding.
From the very first day, it has been filled with scratches that continue to occur very easily with the slightest touch. The battery needs to be charged daily. It costs a lot of money for the few things it offers.
Awesome watch, one of the best I have ever bought. I got it on 29/8/2023 and the watch is still like new almost a year later, it doesn't lag, it upgrades, measures 24/7, one issue with the battery lasts from 1 to 1.5 days and I mean it. I sleep at 12 at night with 100% battery, charging in 45 minutes from 0-100% and 25-30 minutes from 0-80%, I wear it to sleep with excellent and detailed measurements, I wake up at 6.30, go to work, return home at 3.30-4.00, sleep and charge it again at 11 at night... once I tried not to charge it and woke up with 8% battery and it shut down after 1.5 hours, that is 8 in the morning of the next day. For the measurements it takes and the work it produces, its battery is just amazing, personally I would like it to last 4-5 days after buying it for 500 euros. As for exercise, detailed data with amazing measurements and accurate values, heart rate and health check, it's the best and most importantly... everything is recorded on your phone in history and you can see it... it tells you to exercise, to do things you like and Siri for me is not so helpful but like making calls from the watch without searching or asking for my calendar, I really imagine what Siri can offer. Finally, the SOS which can be called satellite from the watch in case of danger works great and is one of the best features of apple on its watches. I will definitely buy an Apple Watch again in 3 years with 4 that will have significant changes. As for the basics, microphone, speaker, screen, resolution, brightness, build quality, let's not lie, it's Apple... My advice is don't buy Apple products if you have the previous model... it's not worth it.
Very good and nice but the battery is unacceptable for the money they ask for. I have many Apple products. From MacBook Pro to AirPods Pro. I believe that all watches are not worth their money. At 250 it would be a good purchase. But close to 380 with a one day battery. Overpriced.

First of all, I have to say that since there was a price difference of 70-80€ with the series 9 45mm, I didn't plan on buying it. However, on Black Friday, its price was 319€, so I didn't even think twice about it, as I wouldn't find it at such a price even if it was used, not to mention that it has good resale value later on.
There are no differences with the 9, they are the same and they do everything the same with 2 small details that you won't even need.
Its battery lasts me 2 full days, maybe even more, unlike some people who say it lasts only one day. Maybe they constantly use it or talk on the phone with it, I don't know.
The screen is excellent, the function is flawless, I like the accuracy in heart rate and electrocardiogram with my iPhone. I can do a lot of useful things and see information on the dial that I need. It's worth the money, even at the price of 450€, either this one or the 9.
There's no reason for me to wear a simple classic watch just as jewelry, as I prefer the functionality and everything that this watch provides me, which no other watch can provide, even the fact that I can pay with it at the cashier without taking out my phone or money is useful.
It has many straps to choose from, I preferred the Spigen elastic khaki color strap with a Spigen case. For a screen protector, I recommend Hofi.
With 319 the price was quite tempting not to buy it.
The battery definitely lasts 36 hours with always on display and based on the usage I give it.
I like the notifications because I can decide whether I want to take my phone out of my pocket or not.
It has VERY good dictation for responding to messages.
The fact that you can make and receive calls without taking your phone out of your pocket or when you are loaded with things is VERY useful.
Apple Pay on hand is very useful.
Finally, you can go for a run with downloaded songs on Spotify on the watch and AirPods Pro 2 connected to the Apple watch without the weight of the phone on you. Of course, you can do the same at the gym. You leave your phone in the bag, wear the watch, listen to music on the AirPods, and answer calls.

I regret the moment I sold my Garmin, because of the oximeter, to get this specific watch! No comparison in anything!

The screen was sticking and the buttons were pressing on their own and it stayed on all the time. The Apple dealership replaced it with a new one, but it shouldn't have happened after just one month of use!
A good watch with - let's be honest - an inflated price. Poor battery life (barely 1.5 days with wifi off and some other settings for partial energy saving).
Good but... The watch faces are completely awful and limited, I wonder why Apple has it with the design in general.
The battery is completely awful, charging every day.
It doesn't have live heart rate monitoring, you have to enter the app or press the shortcut to measure it. While it has a sporty character, a Garmin is a thousand times better if you do sports.
Overall, it is worth it and integrates perfectly with the mobile, but it lacks in many things.
The owner of the Watch 8 for 5 months now, it's worth every penny. Very easy connection with the iPhone and as for the waterproof, it has been tested in the sea. The battery with moderate use and proper Watch settings takes me day after day.

I really wonder about the logic that Apple follows by not increasing the power of the watch battery. It's unbelievable that in 2023 the device does not support wireless charging! And the coolest thing is that it doesn't even charge with Apple's own magsafe. So someone who goes on a mountain trip will have to carry a charger + adapter for the car or power bank, otherwise they will have to be an Indian to understand what time it is from the position of the sun! Otherwise, it counts steps correctly, floors correctly, altitude correctly, heart rate well, sleep is mediocre (sometimes not measured at all), and sports are measured correctly ONLY through third-party applications such as Nike (at least that's how I managed to make it work). The purchase was made in early April and will be sold soon!
In one and a half months, the strap broke. It doesn't buckle/lock onto the watch, which poses a risk of it falling off the wrist. I should note that I put it on the watch as soon as I got it and didn't touch it until I saw it ready to fall off. It's pretty unacceptable for the amount of money it costs.
Nice phase. You can do almost everything without having to take your phone out of your pocket (I have also combined AirPods, although you can talk from the watch if you want with open listening and good sound-microphone quality). That's it.

I have no words, simply perfect! Yes, the battery doesn't last for 15 days -which is the most common comment- but Apple didn't promise that it would, let's not get crazy! However, it easily lasts for 2 days... I bought it together with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and airpods 3 in a big investment for the future... It's the ultimate accessory and I highly recommend it to anyone who can afford to spend the money on the 45mm. Heart rate, calls, Siri, wireless, it has it all! Only the stress meter is missing but oh well. Apple quality, you get what you pay for!!!!
WARNING!!! I got an apple watch 8 and then I went and got a smart protection case hybrid spygen that came with a case and glass, after a few days dust got in from underneath and scratched my screen, always use case and glass separately!!!
In Greece, you can only find the Silver with a white silicone strap which, in my opinion, is quite ugly ; ) I was expecting to receive my chosen strap before wearing it...

Owner of an Apple Watch series 8 / 45 mm / Midnight for a few days now, as well as in the Apple ecosystem in general after purchasing the iPhone 14 PRO MAX. The device is a must-have and complements the mobile device perfectly.
The size of the iPhone, its volume and overall weight do not make it ideal to look at the screen whenever it receives any notification. The problem is solved by the Apple Watch, from which you can observe every notification. If the call or message you receive is important, then you will take out your phone from your pocket, while if it is an email-newsletter it can wait. In addition, we have all missed a call because the phone was on silent and we did not notice it. With the watch, this is almost impossible, even if the phone is on silent/without vibration in your pocket. It greatly facilitates everyday life!!
+ In addition to the biometric sensors and accurate measurements it can perform, a big positive is that you can choose a number as an "emergency contact" and be notified in case of any unexpected event, such as a fainting episode. Yes, the watch also recognizes falls from its own height (due to dizziness, ground irregularity, etc.).
- The only negative is its battery, which lasts for a day and a half. Especially when there are other smartwatches that can last for 10-15 days with one charge. At least it charges quickly!

I bought an Apple Watch for the first time and have had it for about a week now. Since I've been using an iPhone for years, I wanted to get a watch at some point. I got it for €559. Pairing it with my phone was almost effortless and very easy for any user. I wanted something that was interconnected with my phone. From the first day I tried to make a call with the watch, I had a problem with the microphone (people couldn't hear me) and started to worry that something was wrong with my device. Two days later, watchOS 9 came out with an update that fixed the microphone issues on the phone, and since then I haven't had any problems. Now let's talk about the battery. The Apple Watch says the battery lasts for 36 hours. For the first 3-4 days, it lasted me 24 hours, but I still had the screen on even when I wasn't looking at it. When I turned it off, it lasted for over 36 hours. Overall, it's a very good device with excellent quality, just like all Apple products. I also use it for light exercise, going for a run 2-3 times a week, and it fully meets my needs.
