For EDM/House and generally anything that requires a good and controlled subwoofer and good stereo soundstage... They are simply ideal! You don't need to look elsewhere...(I can't imagine how much money you would have to spend on a system to get the same low frequency response from speakers, it's hard to find such a controlled subwoofer anywhere else!)
You will hear the beats differently... they are distinct and accurately represent the frequency without unnecessary distortions. The beat goes from "boom" to having character!!! (okay, that might be an exaggeration but that's the feeling and for anyone interested, I hope the description was enough - VMODA delivers down to 5hz...). The high frequencies do not tire and naturally give a hi-fi feeling, the soundstage reveals every little detail in the composition.
Maybe in the low-mid range (150-250hz) they lose a bit of resolution.. (let's not forget that they have a classic V-shaped signature sound)... for example, the bass drum in metal/rock is not always distinct and upfront, but this might be due to the production and another pair of flat headphones might reproduce it better. (for example, to give an idea that most people will understand in classical music: the kick drum of Ulrich/Metallica sounds fine, but the one of Nicko/IronMaiden gets lost somewhere).
They have their own character and can be directly connected to a laptop or mobile phone, BUT YOU NEED A GOOD DAC to elevate them and bring out all the above!
The short cable with microphone is TRRS.
The long one is TRS (be careful, it doesn't work with all 3.5mm jacks, for example, on PC motherboards).

The noise isolation is amazing, when music is playing you can't hear what's happening around you... But others can hear what you're listening to, they let the sound pass through even though they are closed back.

Bonus... There are also extra XL cushions:

    Also check out:
    - BeyerDynamic DT 770 Pro (80 or 250ohm) - More flat response and audiophile than the LP2.
    - Audio Technica M50x - More balanced sound.
    - Vmoda M100 - Less v-shaped sound and better mids.
The LP2 is more bass-heavy than the other three... (in EDM with good low frequencies and relatively high volume, the headphones vibrate in your ears BUT they don't distort or get muffled!)

Vmoda LP series = Live Play = club sound
Vmoda M series = Monitor sound

Such sound quality is hard to find elsewhere! !! The headphones are worth every last euro! !! I've had them for 2 months and I literally can't take them out of my ears! Excellent build quality, fantastic bass that doesn't overpower the treble and midrange! !!
