I regret buying it as I had many issues with the display port and I thought it was worth it based on the positive comments. I should have gotten the Odyssey. The response I received from the store is that the monitor has issues with the display port when connected to a gigabyte graphics card and ASUS motherboard. So I should have known!!!!! SO stay away if you have ASUS, the monitor is garbage. My eldest son with the Sa......ng had no problems..... first time I listened to someone else's opinion and fell for the so-called experienced people, etc.....
The screen is very good for its price. The response time is 1ms and whatever use you want to make of it is easily adjustable from the menu.
I come from an IPS TV 60Hz.
I preferred VA because I was fed up with the contrast on IPS panels.

The 165Hz makes quite a difference. It has nice colors and quite good contrast (after you play with the settings).
I didn't see any ghosting in some games I tried, nor in browsing. If you set the response time to faster, then yes, there is quite a bit of ghosting.
Response is moderate to good.

The button for the menu is cumbersome and I fear it will break quickly; I downloaded a program from LG's site to change the profiles from there.
The only negative I noticed, and someone else has mentioned it too, is that it doesn't have such good sharpness. Other monitors of the same size and resolution seem to be more detailed. Maybe the low cost or the fact that it's VA is to blame, I don't know.
Overall, I believe it is worth buying.
The screen is very good for its price. Its colors are vibrant. The refresh rate with an AMD graphics card and HDMI goes up to 120hz. With the display port, it goes up to 165hz. I didn't buy it for gaming. I bought it for office work. Its menu is very easy and allows for many changes. I don't mind that it is in the middle of the screen and below it. However, if someone wants, they can visit LG's official website and download the LG program from there to make the settings from their computer.
I went with VA to have good contrast and I have it. I went with LG because, in addition to the very good colors and the 0 pixel warranty, my previous monitor was LG and it is 10 years old and still works without any problems.
It has very good viewing angles for VA. Actually, viewing angles don't concern me and I didn't want to deal with IPS technology since I didn't want it for gaming.
I can't say much about calibration because it is subjective for me. It depends on each person's eye sensitivity. For browsing and word processing, I use the Gamer 1 profile and the contrast and brightness are around 30 to 34. If I increase the numbers with the white backgrounds I have in front of me, especially in MS Word, it will be like having a fluorescent lamp and I will be working with sunglasses in front of the screen. And on the previous monitor, the contrast and brightness were low.
I don't know about games. There, someone may want high contrast and brightness, as they want in videos and movies that I watch, so I adjust the Gamer 2 profile accordingly.

The preset profiles are also very good. The Reader profile didn't personally suit me. Also, settings can be done in combination with Radeon Software.

For around 150 euros, I can't ask for more. Also, I didn't need to change my graphics card, which is also 10+ years old. But it is good for its time and still holds up.
I think FHD is for 24-inch monitors. That's where it performs best. However, I repeat, it also depends on eye sensitivity. Something may seem too bright or too dark to me, and the opposite to someone else. I have read good comments in reviews, but the best was from Konstantinos77 who, bless him, knows what he's writing and answers anyone who has questions!
Good screen, just the colors are not very vivid as I would like compared to a 20-inch TN panel technology screen from 2009 that I have and was disappointed. I should have researched more before making the purchase regarding panel technology. For fps games and movies, it is very good, but if someone wants vibrant colors, they will be disappointed and should look for something else.
Beautiful screen that is easily assembled. Despite its low price, its construction inspires confidence. The tilt of the screen can be adjusted. Its black color is good (VA panel) and its image is pleasant and relaxing. For the money it costs, I believe it is a very good purchase.
Okay, the screen is awesome. It's 165hz and I got it for 130€. Something you can't find anywhere else. Everything is good. The only thing that bothered me was that when I connected it to my PC for the first time with the display port, the image started shaking and flickering. I tried using my own HDMI and it stayed on for a few seconds. I kept changing cables for an hour with anxiety, but in the end, it fixed itself and works perfectly with the display port that comes with the monitor.
Edit: It was probably my power cable's fault because it was bent, and now that I fixed it, it doesn't happen again
Coming from a screen with a 5ms response rate and 60hz, it's a crazy upgrade. The colors are vibrant, and you can easily adjust them from the menu that the screen itself has. I wouldn't recommend it for people who want it for editing, as it is a VA panel, meaning it is made for FPS and not for 100% color reproduction, which is something that IPS panels do almost perfectly. The structure of the screen is sturdy and it is very lightweight. It comes with the power supply, a nice HDMI cable, the manuals, and inside the manual bag, there are two black screws to attach the monitor stand. It has a nice almost bezel-less design on the sides and top. For games like Fortnite and COD Warzone, it does an amazing job, especially if you select the fastest response time in the menu. It also has a function that I'm not sure how well it works, the power saving mode, where it has a low and high setting. WARNING: IT DOES NOT HAVE SPEAKERS. This means you will need separate speakers or headphones. Overall, it is an excellent monitor and I highly recommend it.
The base is quite stable, although it only has one adjustment (horizontal tilt). The image is quite bright and clear, with beautiful colors. It connected with DPort (included in the package) at 164.96 Hz, while with HDMI (not included) at 144 Hz. The menu didn't give me much trouble, although I haven't explored it much yet. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase.

I am amazed by many reviews I read before purchasing this particular monitor, really.
I come from a 4K IPS monitor, obviously considered a downgrade, but I wanted to buy one with high refresh rate.
However!
First of all, I want to emphasize that I had a quite old Philips monitor next to it, which compared to this LG one looked like 8K.
The difference in colors and contrast is shocking. There are no deep blacks, it feels like you have a permanent Sepia filter. I don't even compare it to the 4K monitor I had in its place because it's unfair. I compare it initially to the bad monitor I had next to it. In a few words, I want to emphasize that the VA panel is not for everyone and I would not recommend it at all. Only for clear gaming and for people who haven't worked with other panels.
For me, the difference is huge and extremely annoying, so I started the process of returning it (probably to get the same monitor with an IPS panel).
- And one more thing, I noticed significant pixelation in letters and images. I mention this having made all the necessary settings both on the monitor and on Windows. When I had the letters at 125% in the browser (generally small), you couldn't read them and it was very tiring. As for YouTube, I felt like I was watching images in 720p. This may be due to the fact that it is a 27-inch 1080p monitor, which is partly reasonable, ALTHOUGH I went to the store on the same day and saw some 1080p 27-inch monitors at a similar price range and I definitely didn't see the same thing. So it may also be a problem with this specific monitor.
- Another issue I encountered (which is probably somewhat fixable) is that during gaming, every 5-10 minutes, a black horizontal line would appear along the screen for fractions of a second (as if the cable wasn't properly connected), and this may be related to the refresh rate.
- As for ghosting: in 1-2 specific dark areas, I noticed a huge black shadow following the angle of the wall, and it lasted for about 1 second, taking a long time to disappear. For those who know, it reminded me too much of the "black waves" that hit you in Death Stranding (without exaggeration).
Other than that, it's the first time I've used a monitor with such high refresh rate, so I can't be 100% objective, but the experience was quite good in terms of gaming and frame rate.
For its price, it's probably okay, but for very specific categories, I emphasize again.
AFTER 1 MONTH, I come to say that having bought exactly the same model with an IPS panel, the difference is huge, which confirms what I said above. It's not worth not spending an extra 30-40 euros for the IPS. Huge difference in many aspects.
I'm not very sure it's worth it. I had an Asus before with the same capabilities...EXCELLENT...and I got this one because of the better price and larger screen and good reviews... It looks good, I'll come back... but... it doesn't have a simple HDMI cable included... so... plus 10 euros...
I bought the 24-inch monitor that only has two ports, one for HDMI and one for DisplayPort, but it doesn't recognize the DisplayPort and automatically switches to HDMI. It's a shame because it has a very good image and I intended to use it for both my PC and console.
VA panels are the golden mean between IPS and OLED panels, for the average user, whether it's for gaming, surfing, movies, or office work. Mainly due to the increased contrast and the lack of IPS glow that unfortunately affects a large part of IPS panels, beyond the low contrast ratio of the latter.
An excellent monitor both in terms of build quality and image quality!!
As for calibration, personally I relied on the review I provide a link to below.
I should note that in the space where I use the monitor, the ambient lighting is moderate, neither bright nor dark, except during the evening hours when it is usually towards the dark.
I mention this for adjusting the Brightness intensity that I provide below, which may seem particularly low to some, but personally I want the monitor's brightness intensity not to blind me and to make prolonged use of it comfortable.
The review is for the 24" and the viewing distance is around ~60-65 cm.
In Gamer 2 profile, I created the profile I use for daily surfing for many hours, and in Gamer 1, I created the profile I use for gaming and watching movies.

R/G/B: 46/50/44 (you can leave these values at the default 50)

The Brightness setting is affected by the ambient lighting of the space and the viewing distance, but it is also a personal choice of each individual.

Where to start! Firstly, the screen is 1ms and not 5ms as stated, it comes with a display port cable so that the 165hz is plug & play. The 165hz is very smooth, you can immediately tell the difference. The colors of the screen are very good and satisfactory, with the "blacks" standing out because it's a VA panel, which is simply incredible and unreal for such a relatively low price. As for the menu, I can say that as a true Greek, I never read the instructions and I am 100% self-taught, so it took me about 15 minutes to understand what was going on, and now it seems very easy and fast. Of the many extras that this monitor has, I would say that the headphone port is a huge extra, as many monitors do not have it, so it positively affected my review (and it actually has good sound quality). Even the build quality surprised me, I did not expect to get something so good in terms of specs and construction for such a low price. Highly recommended!!
An excellent value-for-money screen. Coming from a Samsung 24" FHD TV Monitor (TN Panel, 60Hz), I was blown away. I believe it's still important for screens to have headphone ports these days so that one can connect their audio system. The only negative is that when the screen goes into power saving mode, the device connection/disconnection sound is constantly heard. I've noticed that this only happens if there's no audio output connected to the screen. I have my speakers (Logitech Z333) connected to one input on the screen and directly to the computer with RCA on the other. When I disconnect the screen from the speakers and it goes into power saving mode, this problem occurs. Otherwise, everything is as it should be.
In a few words, I consider it value for money. I had a 22-inch, 60hz, and 720p resolution monitor. I found this screen for €140 and "snatched" it as I considered it value for money for its specs and obviously saw huge improvements. As long as I have used it, I have not found any flaws, without, of course, knowing too much. It is comfortable, has good resolution, and is good for gaming. The only thing that "annoys" me about the screen is that when it goes into power-saving mode, every few seconds you hear that Windows sound that is heard when you connect and disconnect something from the PC, as if you are removing and replacing the screen again and again. I do not know if it is the monitor or something else, but the only thing I noticed was this. Even with this, I am fully satisfied with the screen for the money I spent. I recommend it 100%, there is no better solution for €140.
Coming from a laptop with a 720p, 60 Hz, 16-inch screen, obviously it's day and night.
Fantastic screen, with vibrant and intense colors. 1080p covers me without seeking the 4K resolution even though my PC can handle it, but this is purely a personal opinion.
Its blacks are perhaps the best feature of this screen.
Using it as an everyday office monitor and for gaming, it has fully satisfied me.
