The new school atlas of Greece is aimed at elementary school students and their parents, with the goal of helping them:

• read and use maps correctly,
• better understand Greece and its position in the world.

Its content is developed around five (5) thematic axes:

• Cartography: concepts of scale, legend, and orientation are presented.
• Thematic exploration of the Greek area with a different criterion each time: geomorphology, geological history, climate, ecological wealth, etc.
• In this way, students also learn about different types of maps.
• Geographical Regions of Greece: for each Geographical Region, a geomorphological and political map is provided, along with information about administrative division, population (2021 Census), the life of its inhabitants, etc.
• Greece in its broader context: European Union, Mediterranean – Cyprus.
• A brief overview of periods of Greek history through historical maps.
