High performance
The collector of the Mark4 provides the system with truly high performance. It has a high-selective absorber from Tinox (e<3.5%) with a copper tube every 10cm and ultrasonic welding. The glass is low iron with high transmittance (T>91.5%).
The thermal loss coefficient of the collector is one of the best officially recorded in Europe (a1=3.56). The certified performance of the Mark4 collectors is 946 kWh/m²/year, ensuring energy sufficient to cover 90% of hot water needs.
Tank
The water storage tank features an internal enamel coating, which covers the interior of the tank at every point and results from the application of enamel (glass) onto metal. This ensures that it is protected from rust, as the water does not come into contact with the walls, thus always ensuring clean drinking water.
Collector
The collector has a surface area of 2.6m², capable of producing up to 260 liters of hot water. It is selective, the type most commonly used in solar water heaters in recent years. It has lower heat losses compared to a simple collector, thus providing higher efficiency.
Dual Energy
It is dual-energy, meaning it can operate in two ways: with solar or with electric energy. This means that inside the water tank there is an electric resistance, so on days with little sunshine due to cloudiness, you can operate your solar water heater with electric energy and always have hot water.

If it had zero, I would give it 0. Unacceptable construction and the nipple rotted at the point of hot water outlet. Clearly a construction issue and poor quality. The same symptoms are present in the other connections (cold water supply and closed circuit intake and return). Unfortunately, calpak is no longer what we knew.

The problem with the water not appearing hot in the morning, which some friends mentioned, also applies to me. In the next recent maintenance we went to, we were met with an unpleasant surprise: the boiler was ready to burst after 9 years, even though it has a 12-year warranty. I am attaching a photo. My opinion is that there are cheaper solar panels with much better performance.

It was purchased in March 2020. It is a dual-action 2.1 selective collector. As for the quality of the materials used, it is very good. I had heard that the company is very good and Greek, so I preferred it. Unfortunately, I have to say that during the winter months, the water is cold to lukewarm, even warm on days when it has sun ALL day long. It is installed in a location that has sun almost all day. For the Athens area, I expected it to retain hot water for longer periods and to heat up with two hours of continuous sunshine. It was installed by an authorized workshop. You judge the solar water heater in the winter, not in the summer, and also on days with periodic cloudiness, and there it really falls short of my expectations!

Quality construction! Unacceptable as a solar, it heats the water only when there is enough sun and it doesn't hold at all. Barely enough for two military showers! I have changed the installation three times (now it is at 45 degrees) and every year it needs servicing. It's not worth the money. Only 4 square meters of mirror, otherwise it doesn't work.

I have had it for exactly 6 years and I am very satisfied. It heats up the water quickly and keeps it hot for many hours, especially during the warmer months, of course. In the winter, with very cold weather, it holds less. I do maintenance on it every year (cleaning, changing the anode, and topping up fluids). I have a good experience with this company from my childhood home. I definitely recommend it.

In the morning it heated up just fine, but as soon as the sun went down (even on days with continuous sunshine) it had NO hot water at all in the evening.
We contacted the representative and after repeated visits that lasted 4 MONTHS, they finally concluded that we have a problem with the plumbing system of the apartment building...
Meanwhile, we brought our own plumber, whom we paid out of our own pocket, and he confirmed that it is clearly an issue with the solar water heater...
Oh, I forgot to mention, we also paid an additional 120 euros to the representative for the installation of reverse valves, which of course did not bring any results...!Stay away from this company!

The old solar water heater had no issues, but due to the energy-saving program, we decided to change it. The installation took place in February 2019. There are three people in our household. The difference between day and night compared to the old solar water heater is like night and day. I honestly wonder about some comments here stating that people have lukewarm water, and I believe that there might have been a mistake in the installation for those individuals. I have installed it in Ilion, Athens, and I haven't turned on the water heater since last winter. The water is truly boiling hot in winter and summer. Especially in summer, it's unbearable, and I set the cold water higher on the mixer. In order to have the 12-year warranty, you need to have a service every 3 years by a company technician, and I think it costs 90 euros. I will have the first service done this summer and will come back with an update. In a renovation that I am doing in an apartment in Marousi, I will install the same solar water heater again. I am completely satisfied.

It is the 2nd solar water heater and definitely with the one it replaced, it's day and night. With clouds, and when I say clouds, I mean like these December days when the sun doesn't appear at all, no, you don't have water and I expect you to have it. Let's not go crazy. Without direct exposure to solar radiation, no solar water heater produces hot water. But if the sun comes out for 1-2 hours, you will have hot water for several hours to take a shower like a normal person during the day. With all-day sunshine now in winter, the water it produces is literally hot and certainly in the summer, it will need to be covered halfway because it will lose its moisture. For this reason, it will definitely require fluid checks at the end of the summer, changing the safety valve for good and for bad, and anode replacement as long as the manufacturer requires. The complaints I read from many people that they don't have sun in the morning, I just want to note that if we have the solar water heater connected to a heating system, without a separate electric valve controlled by the thermostat and the heating water circulates until it reaches 30 degrees, then it is logical not to have water because the circulator has cooled it down.

Surely for the money, I would expect better performance.
When it's sunny, it's obvious that there is hot water, but with clouds, the efficiency drops and it becomes lukewarm, you can't take a bath.
In winter, despite the sunshine, it doesn't keep the water as warm as I would expect.
I was torn between an air gap and everyone told me it's not suitable for Greece... maybe I should have installed it and just cover half of the pipes in the summer!

When I bought it, I chose to have my own plumber install it and do the maintenance (knowing that I wouldn't have a warranty). Inside the package, there should have been a template to mark and drill the holes because the base is used for different boilers and mirrors. After contacting the company, they said they would send it (it still hasn't arrived). The result was that without it, at least 3 people are needed for installation. The solar panel, compared to the others I have, has no comparison in terms of performance, even on cloudy days we have hot water. In the 6 years, apart from maintenance, I have changed the valve 4 times and the flange once because it broke. The solution for all these issues is to cover half of the glass during the summer to avoid such problems. The solar panel is very high-quality and efficient, which is why I give it 5 stars

The solar water heater is designed and of good quality, but unfortunately it does not maintain hot water at all (lukewarm). I mean that in the Attica region, specifically in Elliniko, while there is sunlight and the radiator works for two hours at night, unfortunately the water in the morning is lukewarm.
Another negative point in my opinion is the accessibility to the thermostat for adjusting the temperature.

Unfortunately, I am also among those who believed in the "epic" of the Calpak Mark 4 160lt / 2.1m, dual energy... Supposedly a quality boiler, collectors, efficiency, customer respect, passion, etc. With half the money, I would have had the same results, if not better, judging by my neighbors who have other solar heaters. I bought it in the summer of 2019, where everything is hot, so I didn't realize its true performance. Essentially, as soon as clouds and cold come, we forget about hot water and switch to permanently lukewarm water! It also doesn't maintain the water temperature!! So, at 10 PM, if I haven't used water until then and if there was sunshine, I will have hot water. However, this hot water, at 8 AM the next morning, will be almost cold! (in about 10 hours). It goes without saying that the installation was done by the dealer's team, to whom I complained later about the poor performance, and he replied that he couldn't do anything, it's normal, there will be losses! We live in central Athens, on the 4th floor, and it was installed on the spacious rooftop (6th floor). We are two people, with minimal use of hot water (shaving & Spartan shower), and now I have to turn on the electric resistance for 1 hour every morning during winter in order to take a shower before going to work.
