After many years with a simple keypad phone, I decided to get a smartphone. Samsung seemed like a safe choice. I don't have high demands for speed, many apps, amazing camera, excellent screen, and other such things. As it is, the phone doesn't have any issues (screen, camera, etc.). The menus, functions, and features require some getting used to, but gradually you get used to them and learn them.
However, there is something that I have a big problem with, and if I knew, I would never have bought it.
It has a SAR value of 1.27. And what's the big deal, you might ask. If it gets good signal, this number doesn't mean anything.
But here's the thing, the reception based on signal bars is disappointing.
Let me be more clear.
In my friend's semi-basement, where the powertech milly big ii, which costs 29 euros, has a 5 out of 5 signal bars, the Samsung has 1 out of 4 and in some cases, 2 out of 4 (same provider, Cosmote).
In my friend's house in the area of Victoria Square, on the 4th floor, 15-20 meters from Acharnon, the blaupunkt fl 02, which costs around 40 euros, has a 5 out of 5 signal bars, and the Samsung has 3 or even 2 out of 4 (same provider, Cosmote).
The powertech milly big ii has a SAR value of 0.33, the blaupunkt fl 02 is below 0.4, and they have infinitely better reception than the technological wonder of Samsung, which has a SAR value of 1.27 and struggles in typical to easy areas.
I will try to tolerate it for a while by using it with a Bluetooth headset, and at some point, I will find another smartphone that may have a SAR value of 1.27, but at least has good reception, captures full signal in typical (or even not particularly difficult) cases, so that it is not dangerous.
For any other information about this specific model, see what others, who are more advanced users than me, have to say, but for me, this model is invalid and unacceptable because it doesn't have a very good receiver in 2023 (with so much technology available) and from a company like Samsung.
Could it be that I have a faulty device and I don't know it? And if that's the case, who will tell me the truth?
What do the others who have bought it have to say about this issue?

I live in Kato Patissia. I went outside on the street to go to the supermarket. Guess what signal I had outside in an open space?
2 out of 4 bars. If this isn't poor reception, then what is it?
And because Skroutz prompted me to write what I like about the phone, even though I mentioned some things at the beginning (meaning I didn't write nothing), I like the sound and the call quality. I can hear well, I am heard well, very good sound. And the battery didn't disappoint me at all. But I think the issue of radiation is more serious.
I will try to compare it with another brand's smartphone under the same conditions and I will come back.

I'm not thrilled with this phone. Before this, I had the A30s which I absolutely loved (unfortunately, I dropped it and the internal screen broke). I searched for a similar phone with similar capabilities and found this one. It didn't satisfy me. The screen resolution is mediocre, the colors aren't vivid, you can't see anything in sunlight (the screen isn't super amoled), and the automatic brightness adjustment doesn't work properly when it remembers. The touch is affected by the protective glass, no matter how much I increase the screen sensitivity. The camera is so-so, the colors aren't lively no matter how much you adjust them, but for videos, things are better. I don't have any issues during calls, internet browsing is good, although sometimes it's slow when you have 4-5 pages to switch between. The fingerprint on the side is very good and quite sensitive. I don't have much of an opinion on the battery, I'll say that with daily use for games and browsing, it lasts a day, maybe a day and a half. Overall, it doesn't satisfy me as a phone compared to what I had and the specifications I wanted (since I'm thinking of paying the 100 euros for the screen and fixing the A30s that I had for 2.5 years and was great in everything, and I'm not doing it for calm use). I hope I helped future buyers.

I changed my phone after 4 years. I wanted exclusively Samsung because I have empirically found that they have a long lifespan. I got the A13 - 5G (4GB/128GB) because it was the cheapest Samsung that met all my requirements (5G, memory and capacity, dual sim, battery life, audio jack for wired headphones). Overall, you won't see anything that will impress you. The screen resolution is 1600 x 720 and is perfectly acceptable but nothing amazing. However, the refresh rate is 90hz and you will feel it especially when scrolling through pages. It really improves the experience compared to 60hz. The camera is okay, nothing exceptional, but I didn't have any particular requirements and it's definitely better than the Galaxy J6 I had in the past. The 4GB memory seems sufficient, meaning that no matter how many times I check, there is always 0.7-1GB unused. The 128GB capacity was necessary for me and is a significant plus for this phone. The battery life is really long. With simple use, such as phone calls, emails, and casual browsing on the internet, it needs to be recharged after 2 days. With my previous phone with a 3000mah battery, I never managed to achieve this, even when it was brand new. I replaced it not because it was broken, but because the battery lasted less than 12 hours after a full charge. I haven't seen 5G on the phone yet because where I live, there is only 4G signal. I don't know if I will eventually use this feature, but I buy phones with a 3-year+ horizon, so I estimate that I will use this feature in the future. Overall, if you want a branded and reliable phone, the price-performance ratio for this one is very good (I bought it for 179€). You won't be thrilled, but it will cover all your needs. Also, because I couldn't find a case specifically for the A13 5G version, I got one for the 4G version. The two devices have a small difference in external dimensions, but the case was ultimately okay. It may be slightly loose, but the phone won't come out of the case unless you try to remove it. One last thing... the manufacturer sells the 4G version cheaper than the 5G version. However, during the market research I did in online stores, I often found the opposite. Be careful not to fall for it. The A13-4G excels in screen resolution and front camera and has an additional lens on the back, but it significantly lags in overall speed, screen refresh rate, and of course, it does not offer 5G connectivity. They share the same name, but they are two significantly different devices.
