    I wanted a tool for monitoring the power consumption of my equipment. I wanted to see if there are any spikes, to browse history, and trigger actions.

    Almost none of this can be accomplished. First of all, most of the functions require an internet connection. This is almost useless in a critical infrastructure application. If I set the device in AP mode (no internet required), then the functions are extremely limited. One could devise an automated polling of the Wattage via the built in HTTP server, but that would be seriously flawed, as it would miss any value in between polling frequency.

    So it’s a glorified timer.
