Description

The inflatable board Explorer 11” by Viking is 3.3 meters long and is designed for use in all conditions, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. It will provide you with countless moments of fun and play, while also offering muscle strengthening and increased endurance by practicing your balance. It is easy to transport and store. This makes it an excellent choice for trips or short excursions, as you can deflate it after use and put it in a backpack. It has a large fin, which allows for good alignment and less friction. It is ideal for SUP in calm waters, which do not require constant maneuvers.

Tolerance to high temperatures

Most SUPs worldwide are not designed to withstand 45 or 50 degrees under the sun, as excessive heat increases the internal air pressure, often exceeding the limit of 15 psi, leading to small or large air leaks. Viking SUPs are manufactured based on Welding Rail technology, which increases resistance to internal pressure up to a maximum of 25 psi.

This technology allows for the mechanical bonding of PVC layers (Welding Rail Tech) without the use of glue, achieving the fusion of two surfaces into a single, solid structure, significantly improving the SUP's durability, especially on the sides of the board (rails) where the two surfaces converge and where the highest pressures occur. This technology, presented for the first time in Greece, exponentially improves the mechanical properties of the SUP, particularly its resistance to high temperatures.
Additionally, reducing the use of glue makes the SUPs odorless and increases their ecological footprint. Further protection from high temperatures is provided by the internal UV protection coating.

Stability and rigidity

They are made with a thickness of 15 centimeters, which provides increased buoyancy and stability in mild wave conditions. Additionally, their core is made with ultra-reinforced and dense Drop Stitch material that gives them the much-desired rigidity.

Excellent maneuverability

It features an advanced hydrodynamic shape that makes it fast and responsive to the rider's commands. The design of the nose allows it to glide comfortably and straight in the water even in light waves. It is equipped with 3 fins for increased directionality. At the same time, its generous dimensions are balanced with a progressive Rocker profile, inspiring safety and stability.

Load capacity

It is manufactured with multiple layers of high-quality PVC in direct fusion with a very dense Drop Stitch core. The result is achieving top load resistance in its category.

Large dimensions

The large SUPs are more stable, comfortable, and faster. They are better both for the beginner who will feel safer and more balanced on them and for the advanced user who wants to develop speed and cover distance. And of course, they are the only choice for larger individuals and groups.

    Very good maneuverability even in waves and comfortable for two people. The small imperfections I encountered in the construction, caused by the many folds/unfolds, were fixed by the company's service, who were also very polite and helpful.

    I would like it to be a bit more stable in the wave and faster, but for the budget it is very decent. It weighs 192, 95 kilos and travels well with the 25 kilo son. However, as soon as the sea gets a little rough, things become difficult abruptly.

    Bought 2 weeks ago. I got it because of its durability, but after only using it 4 times, the soft material on the top of the board and a little bit from the side came off. I returned it and they sent it back to the manufacturer for repair. I'll give it another chance because it's a nice board, but if it happens again, it will go straight back for a refund.

    I bought it for the good quality/price ratio as I wanted a slightly bigger Sup due to my height, without spending too much money.

    It has a modern appearance and the construction quality is very good without any flaws. It is stable in the water and helps me balance as I don't have much experience. The paddling is also good and stable.

    When there is no strong wave, I can paddle quite fast, which I did not expect, at least not so soon! It inflates and deflates quickly and appears very sturdy and high-quality. Its peripherals (pump, paddle, leash, bag) also look very good and durable.

    Based on my usage so far, I highly recommend it! If anything negative arises in the future, I will come back to update.
