The Befree 3-way Live Head by Manfrotto, the innovative 3-axis hydraulic head from Manfrotto, features fully foldable handles providing unprecedented compact size and remarkable durability, with the capability to support a load of up to 6 kg. This pioneering head perfectly meets the users' need to shoot videos and photos using only a highly versatile support.
Thanks to the high-performance Befree Fluid Drag System, with its perfectly smooth level of control in both panning and tilting movements, this head greatly facilitates the perfection of composition to frame and shoot with the utmost precision. The high-performance fluid used incorporates Manfrotto's latest hydraulic head technology, aiming to offer the smoothest possible control and movements and exceptional stability, even in extreme usage temperatures (-30°C/ +70°C).
The large panoramic handle, vertical shooting position (portrait position), and the 3 bubble levels complete the head, ensuring full shooting accuracy and flexibility, for the realization of creative ideas and stunning outdoor shots.
The tripod head also features the unique 200PL-PRO plate, which is made from high-quality aluminum body and fully compatible with Manfrotto RC2 & Arca-Swiss type head accessories: with 2 rubber inserts that maximize grip, even at the most extreme shooting angles. Additionally, the head's support base is also compatible with the 501PL video plate, ensuring perfect balance even with larger lenses.

The tripod is just fine for what it promises, a fairly lightweight and small tripod to have with you on every trip. It’s not the sturdiest option out there, of course. It’s not intended for significant exposure, especially in places with strong winds or vibrations (e.g., live concerts), etc. The price isn’t particularly attractive for what it is, but you’re definitely paying for the brand. If you own a larger, more professional one like the Manfrotto 055 or 190, like I do, it might feel a bit like a toy. But its portability compared to those on trips is particularly comfortable.
