The Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 80 is an innovative external SSD with hardware encryption independent of the operating system, featuring a touchscreen for data protection. The VP80ES provides protection against Brute Force and BadUSB attacks with digitally signed firmware.

Protection against Brute Force attacks encrypts the drive if the Admin and User passwords are entered incorrectly 15 times in a row by default. The drive is FIPS 197 certified with XTS-AES 256-bit encryption using a secure microprocessor certified to CC EAL5+ and complies with TAA.

The VP80ES is designed to protect data while being user-friendly. It features an intuitive color touchscreen and multiple password options (Admin and User) with numeric PINs or passphrases.

The device is ideal for important corporate information, client documents, or high-resolution images and videos. The VP80ES is the perfect solution for small and medium-sized businesses and content creators.

The administrator can enable a user password and configure security options, such as password requirements with a maximum number of common attempts, minimum password length from 6-64 characters, and rules for alphanumeric passwords. Additionally, the 'space' character can be used to facilitate remembering a passphrase as a list of words, a memorable phrase, or lyrics from a favorite song.

Alternatively, use the PIN pad to unlock as you would on a mobile device and reduce failed login attempts and frustration by pressing the "eye" button to see the password as entered. If you forget the user password, the admin password can be used to access the data and restore user access.
