Saint Nektarios experienced honors and titles, but also an incredible persecution, during which he had to fight against the many traps set for him by the Evil One with his instruments. The people of that time mocked him, ridiculed him, accused him. However, he endured the bitter slanders, the harsh threats, the unprecedented humiliations, and the unjust persecutions.

With patience and drawing strength from God, he overcame all obstacles and difficulties. With faith, continuous prayer, humility, and silence, he always placed his hope for the restoration of truth solely in the Lord.
