I don't know why some ratings are so negative. I have no negative comments! It's the best. I can't believe that a phone could be so fast and charge so quickly!
Positive:
1. Very fast
2. Long battery life
3. Charges very quickly
4. Battery lasts
5. Large screen
6. Nice camera
7. Comes with a silicone case and protective glass/screen protector
8. Convenient menu
9. Good size
10. Excellent sound quality
11. Fantastic price
- Also, the fingerprint sensor is quite convenient and unlocks as soon as you touch it, as it is located on the ON/OFF button.
- The case protects the charging port from dust.
Truly fantastic price. I highly recommend it!
Another treasure from Xiaomi!!!
EDIT: I have had it for a year now. Regarding the camera, I can only say that it has gotten even better over time! The only thing that has deteriorated is the battery, which drains quite quickly, but it's okay. I believe it will last for 2 years (with excessive use)!
A decent phone for its price, very good and fast with a cool RAM extension trick that makes it seem like it has 5GB of RAM instead of 4. The only downside is the camera, which is nowhere near as good as it should be.
After 8 months of use, I want to throw it in the trash. It freezes constantly, barely opens any social media games, and causes headaches. The GPS doesn't work properly and the phone is generally unusable. A complete waste of money!
Oh come on guys, is it possible that I bought your Xiaomi phone a month ago and I can't block the numbers that annoy me? What should I do now? It's USELESS to me, should I throw it in the TRASH...!!! How did I get caught in such a SCAM just because I found it for 100 euros..!! I called you today, 27/1/2025.. and I asked if there is a way to block calls before I have to throw it in the TRASH or sell it for at least 40-50 euros. You told me to do a system update, I DID IT and absolutely NOTHING changed.. and I can't even see the background of my phone ANYMORE.... WHY ON EARTH am I forced to see ADS and MEAT and when you want to show me something, you do it with FORCE... You asked me, really...!!! GUYS, NO ONE SHOULD BUY THIS, IT'S A PATHETIC WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER WITH FORCE... IT COULD EVEN BE A CRIMINAL OFFENSE TO FORCE SOMETHING ON YOU THAT YOU DON'T WANT AND NOT INFORM YOU BEFORE YOU BUY IT...
Perhaps one of the most VFM phones that have come out.
You can find it for 100-150 euros and it easily compares to newer phones.
It is quite durable and very satisfactory for regular use and casual gaming. It can handle heavy games but at very low settings.
It has a very good AMOLED screen, which you don't see in phones of this price category.
It has very good battery life (1-2 days) while charging quickly with quick charge at 33w.
Also, the charging cable, the charger, and a silicone case are included in the box, while the phone itself comes with a protective film.
The camera is average. It will do its job, but there are phones with better cameras at similar prices.
Another negative I would say is the software support. Although the phone is a 2022 model, it has stopped receiving updates, as Xiaomi provides only 2 years of support for cheap models.
However, I don't think the negatives diminish its value at all.
I used it for 2 years and if I hadn't come across a good opportunity to upgrade to another, I would definitely keep it for just as long.
Well, I got two, one works well, my son has it and you understand how much and how teenagers use it. The other one I got for my husband has had times when it froze.
I had this specific phone for over a year, and it was flawless. I am amazed by the very negative reviews; it is a very good phone in every way, and even today it is better than many at this price. If you find it on sale, definitely choose it
The phone was flying but now I switched to the Redmi Note 12 Pro because of the cameras. 1 doesn't even have 1080p60 video while the 12 Pro has 4K. But where the 12 doesn't win is in speed, the 12 is 20-30% faster. But the processor flies for social and such
After a year and a half, I have to say that I am not at all satisfied. Sometimes when I receive a call, it doesn't ring, and during the conversation, they can't hear me and I can't hear them quite often, even though I have a normal signal
I have had the product for about a year now, it hasn't had any problems and works just fine. Only the camera is not top-notch obviously at this price, but for someone who doesn't have crazy demands from a camera, it's perfectly fine.
I have had it for a year and it has immediately caused me problems. The screen freezes a lot, I can barely play games on it, it turns off by itself, it kicks me out of apps sometimes, the home screen has some glitches sometimes, when I receive a call it takes a while to show up so I don't know who is calling me, and sometimes even during the call it freezes so much that it turns off. All of this within less than 1 year, I should remind you....
From the mobile as a function, I have no issue, but I encountered a problem with the hyperOS of Xiaomi when one morning I woke up... and my mobile kept rebooting continuously... (it probably had done some update by itself during the night) and when it finally decided to turn back on, it had erased all my apps and their settings... all contacts, messages, notes, OTPs, everything deleted... When I called the service (because it is still under warranty), they told me that "I should have made a backup"!!! Disappointment... what a shame...
Disappointment, really. It has connection issues with the network and barely catches internet anywhere, and the signal cuts off for no reason. The battery now lasts only half a day and the camera is the worst. Stay away from Xiaomi
I bought this mobile phone when it came out and I have to say it is a very good device for the money I paid (€185). It is very good, with a good screen resolution. It is average for gaming, the Snapdragon 680 runs medium and high graphics games at satisfactory fps. It is a budget smartphone that is suitable for simple use. The camera is not anything special, you don't expect much for the money you give. It has a 90Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth experience, and I would recommend it if you want a phone for calls and social media. It has a good battery that lasts up to two days with simple use. When I use it for games, it lasts a day and charges quickly. It has also received the latest updates from Xiaomi and has HyperOS. (4GB RAM/64GB)
From the redmi 7a that I had, it is far superior in its positives. Amoled screen, Snapdragon 680 processor, powerful speaker, 5,000 mAh battery, 33-watt charger included in the package + mobile phone case. Overall, it is a decent mobile phone that is worth its money
It has a weak signal and sometimes it doesn't connect at all, requiring a restart to connect to the network. I sent it to the store for inspection and the response was that the signal is fine. I don't disagree, if you're hugging the antenna, it has a perfect signal. However, comparing it to the redmi 9, I can confidently say that its signal is unacceptable, especially for the work that I need it for, mainly calls. NO, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT
Having it for a year now, I have to say that it is very fast, its battery is perfect, it has not frozen on me at all. Don't expect much from the camera, I personally use it very rarely but you can't expect much, yes. It's worth its money
The mobile was purchased on 20/09/2023.
Priorities for its purchase:
1. Battery life - speed
2. Screen - call quality
3. Everything else (Photos, speakers, etc...)
At first, everything was fine.
After the first update to Android 13 and MIUI 14, the phone's battery life significantly decreased.
Then, with the latest updates (October and December 23 - Android security patch, etc...), the device is useless. The battery doesn't even last a day (minimal calls, a little use of Viber and Chrome only through Wi-Fi for news, and that's it. No videos, music, YouTube, etc. Not even a conversation. You might say there's a fast charger. Correct! Especially when combined with cooking eggs or heating food, it's the perfect scenario!
As for speed, while initially it was even faster than the expectations of an average user, it managed, after the latest updates, to move slower than a turtle... Note: All the installed apps, only one: Viber...
Of course, on the official website, the Chinese company mentions a thousand and two reasons for the decrease in battery life... However, it doesn't say anything about how it manages to not be sufficient for even a light usage from 2 days of average usage, and this within just three months!
So, look for something else if you don't want to cry for your money.
EDIT: 05/01/2024:
And an additional good thing about the recent updates: It is now impossible to connect to Wi-Fi in the places it used to connect before. So, either I have to leave the device next to the router or repeater to connect, or maybe I should open the window and throw it out, something I haven't tried yet.
Xiaomi knows what it's doing!
I have had it for about a year and it has served me well. In terms of price, it is better than any other brand. If you want to increase your budget a little, meaning over 250, I recommend getting a Samsung. The phone is quite fast and can handle heavy games, although at lower graphics. Its camera is quite good. Overall, for everyday use, it is very good for its price. I also suggest getting the NFC version instead of the S, as NFC has a faster processor.
The speed has become even slower with the updates.
Sometimes when I connect an SD card, it gets distorted!
And lately, the network has a problem
not to mention that it is unstable and crashes sometimes!
I would not recommend this mobile phone.
For the average user, it's fine. If you have extra money, it's better to get a Play Station instead of a better mobile phone, this one does its job just fine.
If you want it for everyday use, I recommend your phones, but its camera is TERRIBLE even the redmi note 10, which is a model below this one, takes better photos and videos. Overall, everything is fine with the phone, I have had it for a year without any problems
I have had this mobile phone for a year and a half. Overall, for the money you pay, the features it combines are quite good. It comes with a charger and a protective case. It is quite fast for normal use and rarely freezes. The battery is great, it always lasts me a solid day, regardless of whether I charge it every day to have it fully charged. The brightness in intense sunlight, even at maximum, is a negative issue. The sound during calls is great. I don't use it for gaming. The camera at night is terrible and during the day, it's just average. Video recording overall is also at a mediocre level. Watching videos through platforms like YouTube is seamless and great. The fingerprint sensor on the sides works fine and in most cases, it works well for normal use. NFC works easily. It connects easily to WiFi.
Average to good performance in most of its features.
Daytime camera is average.
Nighttime photography is laughable.
Previous Note models had much better nighttime photography. The same goes for video.
I gave it to my daughter and I thought it had a technical issue.
It works fine as a second work phone. That's about it.
For the money it is sold, it is worth it fully, it is also fast especially since it has a 90Hz screen, it helps a lot. However, now it is worth more to get the Redmi Note 12 at the same price and it is better
For the money, it's a good choice. 3 different devices, no issues for the 160 they cost, they do exactly what I ask for...very nice screen, vertical speaker, and fast...the only exception in all Xiaomi devices is that notifications are slow to come...from bank messages to emails, it's very annoying...
I have the phone for just one month, but from the usage so far, I believe it is very good. Obviously, we are not talking about a flagship from a technological perspective, but it does more than it promises and is very good for its price. Very strong battery, very good photos and videos, comfortable browsing
Mercilessly awful camera at night and the zoom at any time of the day is unacceptable. Otherwise, if you don't care so much about the camera usage, it is satisfactory for its price
Well, I have had it for 6 months and it hasn't had any problems. I recommend getting it for light gaming and social media use. It has perfect sound and a perfect AMOLED screen. With the new update, you can add up to +3 GB of RAM from the ROM. The only downside is that it has average video recording quality
I am the owner of the phone for one and a half year. Going to the store, I wanted to buy the 10pro from the beginning as I had heard very good comments. In the store, the salesman informed me that the 11 is much better and has more capabilities. (Here we laugh !!)
I had no comparison measure other than Xiaomi because I was the owner of an iPhone 8 and I wanted a phone with a very good battery and decent photos. Call me stupid, clueless, but I listened to the salesman and bought the phone.
I give it only 2 stars because of its good battery. If I could, I wouldn't give it any at all !!!
Initially, it started freezing on me after six months and I had to restart it. The photos are only decent during the day because at night it's like taking them with an old Nokia from 2010. The video is unacceptable. It has poor resolution and bad stabilization.
Another negative is the NFC. I'm trying to connect it to my air conditioner through Xiaomi Home and honestly, it doesn't work at all !!! While it works fine on other phones. So, don't have a controller and die from the heat, right?
We come to the joke of the matter and the most basic thing. The calls. If you are outside on the street with noise, forget it, you can't hear ANYTHING unless you have handsfree or go a kilometer away! Very low speaker volume. After this, I wanted to throw it away and I have been late, I think !!
The worst thing I have bought so far. With a good hammer, I think it will become the perfect paperweight!
The battery is positive, of course.
