The strap is leather only on top, underneath it is silicone. A big disappointment and false advertising from the company. If you want a strap made of real leather, look elsewhere. If you want something like this, leather on top (although it doesn't feel like leather on top, it feels more like painted plastic) and silicone underneath, then it's good.

In the product description, it is stated that it is leather, but it is actually made of silicone except for the outer part of the strap which is indeed leather. Essentially, it is a silicone strap with a leather coating.
