    We preferred it for our second child; we started using it from newborn and now that he hasn't turned 2 yet, he operates it by himself, takes it in his arms, and sleeps. So it suited us as well; I have washed it countless times and everything is fine, it hasn't caused us any problems. There have been a few times when it "stuck" and wouldn't stop after twenty minutes, but would play all night non-stop, something that if you press it and turn it back on, it will continue normally afterward. It hasn't bothered us, and I don't know if it only happened to us, I just mention it. It has several functions: light, sounds, volume.
    (We also have the Fisher Price otter for the older one, as a comparison, it’s worth it—just the belly doesn’t breathe.)
