The watch is amazing. I find the menu navigation very easy and overall the handling of it, with smart shortcuts that you can customize, has greatly improved the user experience. I had the Forerunner 734xt until now, which served me well for 4-5 years I would say, but compared to the Fenix 7 it's like day and night. The construction also seems very good. It is the Silver with Graphite Band 47mm model and although it didn't look as nice as the black models in the photos, up close it is beautiful. Also, a piece of information that may be useful to some, the circumference of my wrist is 16.5 mm and I consider the 46mm of the watch to be ideal, the larger model (51 mm) would be too big and its weight is not bothersome at all. The service of the store through Skroutz was impeccable and despite the delivery stating 4-10 days, I received it in two to three days.
Positive my experience with the watch but I can't connect it to wifi no matter what.
The menu is somewhat difficult to use and overloaded with a bunch of activities, 80% of which are probably unnecessary for most people. It takes a lot of time to learn the watch and where to find everything. The battery easily lasts for 10 days, but this depends on usage. It is waterproof up to 100m, which means it is suitable for swimming in the sea. The measurements are relatively accurate. The GPS is fast and works perfectly. The only negative thing I have noticed is that sleep tracking does not activate automatically, but only within the hours set by the user.
The screen is the biggest drawback of the watch, it should be more clear considering that we are talking about a watch that costs 500+ €. The colors are faded and the contrast is low when the backlight is on. Watches that cost 1/3 of the price of this one have better screens. I don't know how much the cost would increase if it had an AMOLED screen (the Epix series is much more expensive).
It receives notifications for calls, emails, and SMS from the paired mobile phone, but that's about it. In conclusion, it is a good tool for monitoring sports activities and health, but as a smartwatch for mobile phone functions, it is below average. It does not come with a user manual in the packaging, you will have to download it from the Garmin website. I had the Samsung S3 before and the truth is that I expected the Fenix to be much better overall, but it isn't...
I gave it 5 stars because it is indeed a good watch. But maybe it's too much. You have to be a super athlete to fully enjoy it. It has many, many options. It's an exaggeration for a simple mortal like me :).
