Thuja, scientifically known as Thuja occidentalis, also known as Northern White Cedar, is an evergreen coniferous tree in the cypress family, native to eastern Canada and much of northern, central, and northeastern America. The essential oil of Thuja occidentalis is obtained through the distillation of the tree's branches and is particularly sweet and aromatic.

The main molecules of its chemotypic composition are ketones: thujone 45-65%, fenchone 10-15%. Its therapeutic action has been recognized since ancient times and has been used to treat insomnia, gout, colds, dandruff, and eczema.

Thuja occidentalis essential oil has significant antiseptic, mucolytic, astringent, and therapeutic properties. Its expectorant qualities help in removing excess mucus from the lungs, while its antiseptic and astringent properties assist in combating various skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, warts, and acne. It promotes tissue tightening and improves the appearance of the skin.

Additionally, it helps relieve rheumatic and arthritic pains, as well as discomforts in the urinary system and genitals. It is an excellent detoxifying agent for the body against harmful toxic substances.

Usage methods:

• Warts – Wart: In 5ml (1 teaspoon) of St. John’s Wort Oil, add 1 to 2 drops of thuja essential oil and apply the mixture locally.
• Psoriasis: In 100ml of Oregano oil, add 10 drops of thuja essential oil and apply locally.

Thuja essential oil blends well with: Cypress, Cedar, Juniper, Pine, Sandalwood & Orange.
