I bought it without realizing that it doesn't have a switch for different egg boiling options, like soft-boiled, hard-boiled, or medium. It only has a general button that you press to boil without any further options. Now I will have to buy another device that has 3 options

Very good, it does what it promises, easily and quickly, and it is beautiful.
It turns off by itself when the water evaporates, but... it turns on again when the temperature drops!
So, you need to be careful, even though it seems to have turned off and the eggs are ready, you have to remember to press the switch even if the light doesn't turn on or unplug it.
