As the owner of the amazfit GTR2 since Feb. 21, with which I was quite satisfied, here's what I have to say about the GTR3:
-External appearance and display: Impeccable (just like the GTR2).
-Software display: Excellent (improved compared to the GTR2 with the ability to add additional applications).
-Responsiveness: Excellent (better than the GTR2).
-Connectivity: Excellent.
-Battery: 7 days after the first charge and reached 30%. With all functions and recordings open except for AOD, with heart rate monitoring per minute, with daily "curiosity" use, continuous connection with call and message notifications, and three 1.5-hour workouts with GPS usage. (compared to the GTR2 and similar functions, it lasts 1 to 3 days longer, I will know better over time).
-Heart rate and oxygen measurements compared to a home oximeter: Excellent with a deviation of 1 to 2 seconds, at the same heart rate, due to the algorithm.
-GPS accuracy/speed: Excellent with minimal delay during startup. Tested during running and walking, outdoors and in the city. (Compared to the GTR2, the accuracy is slightly better and the sensitivity to obstacles has improved significantly).
Compared to the GTR2:
The only thing missing is the speaker for answering calls and playing music from internal memory, which I ultimately didn't find so useful. However, it has 3GB of memory for additional applications and watch face display options.
Also, the GTR3 supports VO2 Max function (maximum oxygen intake) with indications of training load and recovery time, which I consider quite useful for those involved in sports. (However, I cannot currently give an opinion on the accuracy of Vo2 Max measurements as I have no comparison measure).
First impression:
Overall, it delivers on all its promises, excelling in all functions without any problems so far.
I will come back if I have anything to add.
Correction on 17/08/22:
Everything is fine so far, just like the first day, except for an issue that appeared after some updates. During workouts, if I put it on pause, after a while it may restart on its own if I don't end the workout function, resulting in the loss of exercise data.
I hope it will be fixed in future updates.
Correction on 27/10/22:
After two months of unsuccessful updates, everything is fine now, the issue with restarting during workouts has been fixed.
Correction on 02/10/23:
After 1.5 years and with all supported uses, it remains flawless.
Durable, accurate, practical, functional. One thing that surprised me in terms of usage time and charging cycles is the battery, which has remained almost like new, lasting up to 7 days with 3-4 workouts and up to 10 days without workouts.
I won't be coming back as it has already exceeded its value!
While I was 100% satisfied with my watch, after 7 months of use, the touch "died" and the crown didn't work either. I returned it to the store where I bought it to get the warranty, and not only did they not replace it, but they told me it was my fault due to a scratch on the glass. I took it back and went to another store. They opened it, and as expected, the scratch had nothing to do with the fact that the touch broke and the buttons got stuck. The repair would cost 70-80 euros, which obviously isn't worth it, hence the watch remained broken. Truly unacceptable from both the company and the store to claim that the user broke the touch due to a small scratch that, as it turned out, was never the cause of the problem. What a shame for the 110 euros I spent.
Edit: 12/15/24
The touch of the screen magically fixed itself. Proof that I was never at fault and that the store was talking nonsense about scratches and that this had damaged the touch. It just had some kind of glitch.
the screen scratches easily, poor measurement quality, fortunately it eventually stopped working on its own and was replaced with a smartwatch from a different company
Good for the money but not something special, stylish and fits very nicely in the hand, you don't feel it exists. I've had it for a while now but I often find myself not missing it, it hasn't impressed me like others. Very simple to use.
It loses a bit on heart rate measurements, especially in the pool. Also, every time I take a shower, it thinks I'm starting a swim. But okay, for the money, these are acceptable. It's nice, comfortable with a large screen, and has some nice gadgets like a stopwatch, etc. For this price range, it's pretty good.
Basically, I give it three stars because unfortunately the strap broke after 9 months, of course, and on my part, I haven't really paid much attention as I wear it everywhere. Other than that, it's simply perfect; I think it's aimed at people who don't have many demands from a smartwatch. For simple sports like running and gym, it's okay. Amazing battery life, at least 9 days with simple use, nice aluminum design, and the GPS is just top-notch.
very good in many sports
Bought on 27/4/23.. 26/7/24 it doesn't even turn on, the straps broke and overall far away... I threw away 100€.. not to mention it kept rebooting by itself... stay away
Good design, slim case.
Instability in connectivity in general.
GPS does not seem to be very accurate.
Progress during training cannot be heard from the watch
It is an affordable smartwatch.. beautiful screen, very good battery, and one of the few with perfect connectivity with the iPhone.
The biggest drawback is the very slow tilt/raise to wake even if you put it on sensitive. I mean how long does it take to see the time, 0.2 seconds? You raise it and lower it quickly and it still hasn't turned on
The watch has the convenience and quality that every amazfit has, and that is very positive. However, the menu could have been more customizable to meet the needs of each user. Overall, I would give it 4 and a half stars, but it doesn't have that option.
I have it for over a week now with several active functions. The battery is still at 85%. The screen is very good, a lightweight watch that generally covers me. For now, everything is good.
Good value for money and quality for what it does
It is the third and most reliable smartwatch I have purchased. It simply works, without causing any concerns from the first moment. Very beautiful on the wrist, serious and sturdy. It detects walking, running, and cycling on its own. The accompanying application is also very good. Money well spent, and it wasn't even that expensive...
Amazing watch purchased twice in the moonlight grey color. Unique color (never released again) and although I haven't used it for training, I have to say it is excellent. Many functions, easy, comfortable, and elegant. It's worth it with 1000. Despite being from 2021, I would buy it again.
Very beautiful, comfortable, fits perfectly on the hand and does everything a average user smartwatch could want. The screen is very clear and easily visible even under the sun. The buttons and the rest of the watch are completely customizable through the application. For the one day that I have it and the usage I have done, the battery seems to have dropped slightly. The only thing it lacks is NFC and the ability to answer calls, but personally it doesn't bother me at all. For its price (110€) it is a very good value for money choice.
Very beautiful watch, with a large screen, user-friendly and with great battery life. It has many options for workouts and measurements, and you can customize the quick menu as you wish. It only has 8 different displays, but the options covered me. It also has an option for Greek language. As for its construction, it is very good, tested waterproof, easy to clean, and despite hitting it on any knob in front of me, it only has a small scratch mark. The measurements are quite accurate, sometimes it counts the movement of the hand in steps and there is a slight deviation in heart rate measurements, especially if it does not fit well on the wrist. I connected it to my mobile (Xiaomi) the first time and I haven't dealt with it again, it automatically connects as soon as it is within range. Overall, I am very satisfied. Attention, you cannot answer calls or messages, but only view them.
I have had the GTR3 for almost 6 months and I want to report that whenever I start running, it requires a previous pairing with the zepp mobile app to update the GPS, otherwise it does not measure location and time correctly. Does this happen to all GTR3 watches or is mine defective? Does anyone know what I can do to avoid constantly synchronizing? Otherwise, I am satisfied with the watch
Very good value for money, accurate measurements and a battery that lasts 9-10 days with almost all functions.
Light, beautiful with good autonomy (10 days with AOD), the zepp application is very good, easily connects to the phone, and Bluetooth has sufficient range. I set the country to the USA during registration and also activated Alexa, which is fun to ask questions. There is also an application on the Play Store with many free watch faces. It is great for running, locks onto GPS immediately, and theoretically measures heart rate accurately.
The watch is very good although I would like it to have communication capabilities. Everything else inside it is very good.
Perhaps the best money I have ever spent... Since I bought it, it has been a lifesaver, I haven't missed a single call, and it works perfectly in every way!
Very beautiful and elegant, whether for a woman or a man, it doesn't answer calls nor has too many applications. However, it does what it promises and more, and its battery lasts for 15 days with half of the functions open, around 10 days with all the functions open permanently, and around 22 to 23 days if you don't have any clock function open
Does what it says on the tin, I am getting 12+ days out of a single charge but wish I had gone for the GTR 3 Pro, defiantly better that my Huawei which broke after 4 months. So far well worth it.
It is an ideal choice for anyone who needs an affordable smartwatch. Good measurements, nice design, long battery life, and very good connectivity with iPhone. The Zepp app synchronizes notifications from all applications. Attention! The watch accepts calls but they can only be answered from the mobile phone.
Excellent! It has exactly what I need, with the only downside being that the voice command is in English, but it doesn't bother me too much as I can use it without it. The functions, screen, clarity, battery... everything is perfect.
The irritation from the strap is inevitable because it needs to be relatively tight on the wrist. I take it off every day, clean the straps with a damp cloth or baby wipe, and then put it back on after 3-4 hours.
Excellent value for money with great autonomy, not just 20 days but still leaves significant marks on the hands, but overall okay
I bought it at the beginning of the summer and after 3 months, the material underneath the sensors became blurry and caused a burning sensation where it touched my skin. Also, from the second month, sometimes when I plugged it in to charge, it showed that it was charging but the battery remained at the same level and now, after 5 months, it has stopped charging altogether. Before it stopped charging, I can say that I was okay with everything and it had been convenient for me, even though it was my first experience with a smartwatch, but I definitely won't go for this brand again if I decide to buy another one.
Very elegant watch, it motivates for more exercise. It synchronizes GPS very quickly. Two charges approximately per month.
2. After a stress test with my cardiologist, the heart rate displayed on the watch while I was on the treadmill was the same as the readings on the electrocardiogram!!!
