I bought it last week, coming from Samsung C24F396FHR.
Initially, I was very impressed with the jump to 2k resolution and 165Hz compared to 60Hz, although the colors were worse than the previous one (maybe they need some adjustment?).
But soon I realized that this monitor has a huge ghosting issue (aka VA smearing)! No matter how much I change the overdrive, freesync On/Off, there is always a noticeable ghosting in every camera movement in games, for example, which 1. makes me dizzy, 2. makes the 165Hz not worth it as every movement has an annoying motion blur. This is true even if I lower the refresh rate to 60Hz.
I am very disappointed as I had not seen anyone discussing it anywhere before I noticed it and specifically searched for it, and I don't think I can get my money back now... If ghosting/motion blur is something that bothers you, I would say stay away from this particular monitor.
Edit: After doing some research, it seems that most VA panels (except for some exceptions, mainly from Samsung like my previous monitor) have similar issues. I will prefer an IPS panel in the future, as I hate motion blur.
For those looking for a 27" 1440p monitor at a reasonable price (I bought it in July '23 for €220), get it without a second thought.
And for those who are afraid of the curved screen, you will get used to it and you will like it, but to be 100% sure, I suggest going to a store to see curved screens up close and see if they suit you.
For gaming, as well as office use, it is very good. It comes with a display port (not HDMI) cable. The construction is quite sturdy. The only negative is the (relatively) high response time (4 ms), which if I'm not mistaken, is not mentioned in the Skroutz specifications. I expected the HDR function to be much worse (based on what I had read in reviews), but it's okay, even though I don't particularly need it.
Finally, before buying it, I recommend watching a video to see how it looks on a desk.
I have had it for about a week now, so if anything new comes up, I will add it with an edit.
Nice picture, enabling HDR from the PC makes the colors even more vibrant and impressive. I haven't noticed any ghosting phenomenon that many complain about in this type of panels. It doesn't have any flaws in pixels, etc., it looks very high-quality and sturdy in terms of construction, especially at €220, I consider it a great opportunity. Easy adjustment "up-down" and tilt. Now, if it has any issues in the future, no one can know, so I will edit it
Coming from an LG 29WK600-W and before that an Eizo FS2331, I had put about 10 UW, 2K, 120hz and above monitors on a watchlist for price drops. I got this one for Christmas from a well-known chain at the price of 329€. I was immediately impressed by the packaging. Made in a way that in 5 moves you're done. The stand, 2 pieces that with a thick allen wrench make an angle, you attach it to the monitor and without even touching it you have it on the desk. The VA panel with nice black. What impressed me was that it had better colors than the LG (3 years old) which was IPS, but also the very good viewing angle that I did not expect from VA. The desktop became cleaner compared to the LG. And brighter without straining. In the menu only the essentials, no comparison with the incredible menu of Eizo. A menu that I didn't even bother to adjust because the default image was very satisfactory. I only lowered the hz to 120 to have 12bit color and to prevent the screen from turning "red". I don't play demanding 1st person shooters but an RPG I tried was fine. I'm sure that if I look a bit I will find some ghosting and a bit of light bleeding and some other "flaw". But so many specs without flaws are from a thousand euros and above. In the 500 euro range I would probably get the Dell S3422DWG. At 349€ and with a coupon 329€ it has no rival. If it withstands the test of time it will be the best. (The LG quickly acquired 3 stuck pixels that didn't bother me at all, the Eizo is close to 8 years old but it's from another planet)
Update: 28/4/24. Although it acquired a stuck pixel, it doesn't bother at all and the monitor remains excellent. The strange thing is that although it doesn't come with any "sync" from either AMD or Nvidia, if you hold the joystick "up" for 10", the AMD FreeSync premium appears with the option to turn on/off and with a message of increased power consumption. Did they hide it because it was costly to get the certificate? Is it buggy? Does it have increased power consumption? I don't know...
