Spectrobes are strange creatures that use light energy to unleash amazing powers. They once roamed the planets of the Nanairo solar system, but now they are extinct. Fortunately, Planetary Patrol Officer Rallen can bring them back to life thanks to the lab system on his spaceship.

Spectrobes come in three sizes:

• Child Spectrobes: They can search for excavation items but cannot participate in battles.
• Adult Spectrobes: They can fight in battles and function as Support Spectrobes.
• Fully Evolved Spectrobes: They possess the best combat abilities.

During a routine mission, Planetary Patrol Officers Rallen and Jeena respond to a mysterious distress signal and find the wreckage of an escape pod, where an elderly man has been in cryogenic sleep for many years.

When he awakens from his long sleep, the man named Aldous tells an incredible story about an attack on his planet by evil aliens known as Krawl. Aldous is a scientist and has identified the creatures called Spectrobes as the natural enemies of the Krawl. He has also patented a device called the Prizmod to harness their power.

Aldous and his two new friends must gather as many Spectrobes as they can to stop the Krawl from consuming other planets.
