I bought a set of wheels, the rims are Beretta made in Italy, the spokes are not galvanized but I can't say for sure if they are stainless steel. The spoke nipples are not brass. The hubs are Chinese cup & cone hubs from Shungfeng and surprisingly, I can say that they are of much better quality than some others I already have. On a well-known foreign website, only the front hub costs 11 euros... The rear hub is much stronger as usual (larger bearings 2x9 while the front one has slightly smaller bearings 2x10). The front hub has a quick release, the rear one has lock nuts. The rear wheel comes with a freewheel, the front one does not. The hubs are greased with low-quality grease (very little grease and it's dry/sticky). The rear axle is ideal for an 8-speed freewheel, with dropout clearance from the lock nuts at 135mm. The front wheel weighs 1058 grams (with the additional freewheel and regreased hubs), the rear weighs 1144 grams, not bad for such cheap double-walled wheels WITH 36 SPOKES (for each wheel). The rims have the marking 622x20c, but they are very narrow and shallow (internally) compared to rims of the same type that I have (from Malvestiti), while on the Beretta website, they are listed as 622x19c. Finally, as wheels, they are very well centered and properly laced. The only significant drawback is that they do not have internal eyelets (single or double) at the points where the spoke nipples sit, which is why I gave them four stars in the evaluation.
