I got it this year, and the game already had many upgrades that have greatly reduced the bugs. Now, in 2023, at a price just over 20€, it's a great choice. Improved visually compared to the original games, in terms of colors, shapes, models, etc., but the physics and gameplay are exactly the same games with some added convenience from newer GTA games, such as the ability to choose which weapon or radio station you want without going through them in order.
Very expensive for me. I bought it because I still play these games now, like most people I believe who bought it, but it is very expensive and for me it should have included GTA IV. I saw that San Andreas has most of the glitches, many cheats are not accepted
Recently, a notable update was made. It's worth it just to revive the old - good years as I wanted, for example. Definitely much more upgraded and enriched content compared to the original games.
After the last update that was released a few days ago from the moment I am writing this review, all 3 games have become unrecognizable in a good way. They have fixed many problems that existed and have made many improvements in all 3 games. They are no longer the mess they were when this remaster was released, and they are indeed the GTAs we know from the PS2 era with various improvements in graphics and gameplay
I got it for around 25 euros and finished San Andreas without too many bugs. Vice City and 3 have a lot of bugs and are unplayable. The only reason someone would want to buy the trilogy should be the price, which is relatively low, and San Andreas.
The graphics in all three are not perfect, and the vigilance missions have some bugs, but everything else, like the story mode, is very good. It was worth the money
The worst thing that has come out... Better the games of ps2 with their own bugs... Even in San Andreas, when you activate cheats for some reason, while having the upgrade, it disables them on its own, either when playing a mission or shortly after. Helicopter and airplane in San Andreas, forget about it... Terrible... Don't bother buying it to remember the old days... Very disappointed with the bugs.
As for the story mode in general, all three games have many bugs. Nice graphics, but a very problematic game. Not worth a single euro... They ruined Vice City, which was a great game, with the missions... Such a shame. They destroyed the best timeless games. As an example, I'm attaching a picture of how the box ended up, and I barely held back from breaking the CD into pieces
Too expensive, 60 euros, for 3 games that were released 20 years ago. And to say that they were quality remasters? THEY ARE FULL OF BUGS. The character models look like they were made out of plastic and have nothing to do with their original versions. The shooting feels like it came out 20 years ago, which it did, they just didn't change it at all.
P.S.: I am in no way hating on the originals, which are classics and I believe everyone should play them once. What I hate are the terrible remasters as remasters because I believe they not only do not honor these great games but also bury them in the dirt!
Maximum flop. No resemblance to what they initially presented. They even removed most of the songs from the stations. I would advise staying away, maybe the companies that deceive people by charging full price for poorly made makeshift works will get serious and could be much, much better, in combination with the fact that they removed the original trilogy to force you to buy it.. 0/10
First of all, obviously I did all the updates. We know that the game is not considered excellent in terms of remaster, at least it is considered good. But personally, GTA 3 and especially San Andreas were my childhood, there was no way I wouldn't buy them in physical form for my collection.
Personally, I really like the graphics and the fully controlled camera in GTA 3, and Vice City for the first time (it was already in San Andreas). The graphics may give the greatest enjoyment in Vice City, which has more vibrant graphics due to the larger draw distance, although immersion is lost in San Andreas. I would definitely like to have the option for a behind the shoulder view, something that is now a given. Of course, it gives you three aiming options that you can switch between. I liked that it had extra options for increasing the subtitle font size, which we haven't seen before, especially if the font doesn't suit you, it helps.
For nostalgia lovers, it is a must, I have gotten lost in Grove Street like a high school kid again.
I give it three stars, firstly because they could have priced it at €40-€45, and secondly, obviously because it wasn't ready to be released in its current state, it definitely needed improvement. However, personally, as it is now, it is fine and meets my expectations for the series.
I agree that it's not worth so much money and that it still has bugs and glitches, but you mainly get it for the nostalgia. Don't expect a groundbreaking experience. I hope that future updates will fix any errors. From me, only 4 stars for the effort.
The game is perfect, as a fan of the old GTA games, I really enjoyed it. It doesn't get 5 stars due to the many bugs and the price, which is too high compared to how it should be. It's worth more like 20-35€, not 60€.
With a heavy heart, two stars for this terrible mess. A game that was ported from Android with many issues and then ported again to consoles with even more. I can't understand how a multi-million company can make such a bad remaster of one of its possibly best games. It's a poor combination of the old engine with Unreal Engine 4. I wouldn't recommend buying it for now, I would wait for some updates so that it's at least playable. Paying 60 euros for games that are almost 20 years old is ridiculous and absurd.
Owner of the digital edition. Many bugs/glitches. The company basically took the old games and "dressed them up" with unreal engine 4. There was no redesigning, which is evident from the game's polygons that were released in the past decade. This collection is worth 10-15 euros. 50 and 60 NO.
The physics are outdated to the point where you can't enjoy driving, and the characters look like puppets. The cars, apart from the reflections, are the same as before.
The draw distance is large to the point where you can see the entire map, but the details appear only a few meters before, such as bushes, windows, rocks, cliffs.
The action mechanisms are old, and as a result, you will see the message "wasted" many times on your screen because you can't avoid bullets, unlike in GTA V where you can take cover behind walls, cars, etc.
Loading times. Instantaneous. The company should have bought the various real-life mods that already existed a thousand times instead of releasing reheated food with fresh sauce.
