I like that it is the cheapest one that prints automatically on both sides of the paper. Its inks are black and in another container are the three colored ones. The ink containers are more expensive than the corresponding Epson ones, maybe because they have an integrated head. I noticed blurriness in the scanner's documents, they quickly replaced it for me from infoquest service, but the new one had the same expensive problem. The A4 papers it prints fall below the first page because the plastic that holds them is short. The program that accompanies it is much better than Epson's equivalent. The mg3650s offers more than the Epson xp2100 but at a lower quality.

  One star because simply it does not do the basic job it is intended for, which is printing. It has issues with the paper feeder. I searched online to see if it was my own bad luck, but it seems to be a common problem. It performs other functions, but mediocrely. Connectivity is mediocre and the lack of a display does not help. You constantly need to refer to the manual or online, especially for network connection issues. I do not recommend it, even though it is minimal and aesthetically pleasing.

  The prints are quite high-quality, both in draft printing and with photo paper, where the printing is excellent.

  Regarding the installation, it was done quickly via USB (on a Mac Pro 2013), and through Wi-Fi after 3-4 attempts, following the instructions in the manual to the letter, we were unable to connect (on a MacBook Pro 2016).

  The scanner is average, tested at 150/300/600/1200dpi. At higher resolutions (600dpi-1200dpi) where you want more detail, instead of creating larger files with more information, it creates files of only 350kb (!) which is quite mediocre. A big disappointment, especially when using Canon software. I will try to test other software and will update.

  Update 16/1/2024
  After upgrading to MacOS Sonoma on two different machines, in order to print, I have to disconnect the USB every time, for the printer to be recognized again and print. So, I am changing my rating to 1 star, as I don't think you can operate this way. I would not recommend it to anyone working on a Mac. The Wi-Fi never connected, neither from a MacBook Pro 2022, nor from a MacPro 2013, nor from an Android mobile, nor from an iPhone. Apologies for the lengthy review.

  I have the 3050 here for 2 years, and my friend has the 3650S. Occasionally, it pulls double paper (if they are thin and stuck together). It has never jammed on me. Therefore, when buying A4 paper, don't put weight on top. Aligning the head is necessary every time you put in a new ink (there are instructions), otherwise it prints whatever it wants. The printing is average to slow. The original inks, for example, the black XL that says "up to 400 pages," does not print that many at all. Maybe 250, at most 300 if you only print text. The installation with a cable was very easy. I have struggled 3 times to activate the WiFi printing and got nowhere, even though I am good with technology. It's a huge mess.

  For simple use, it's fine at this price. Occasionally, I print an ID, a statement, receipts... just simple things. I save myself the trip to the bookstore. If you want it to print assignments or generally many pages, it's not a good choice. Go for something more expensive.

  It was purchased to replace the MG3550, which are identical. Clearly, the new one is faster and if I'm not mistaken, it is also less noisy than the 3550. I easily installed it on two laptops for wireless connection (something that was not so easy with the outgoing model)! With the specs it has, for just €37.9 and for the cheap but efficient ink cartridges (prefer the XL cartridges), I think it's a no-brainer purchase for home use. I have been buying Canon printers and machines for home and office for 18 years because I find that they are the definition of value for money.

  The printer also includes the ability to print directly from a mobile phone without any previous action for their connection (I discovered this with surprise)! I don't think there are many all-in-one printers with such a plethora of specs at such a low purchase and usage cost!

  I bought it to replace the Canon MX395. It is almost the same except that it does not have a fax, it is more compact in size, and it prints faster and quieter. I have not printed any photos, so I do not have an opinion on that. I have printed many times and it has never jammed the paper.
  For home use, it is excellent! The printing quality is very good, the software for the computer is easy to install and very user-friendly.
  The most important thing is that it has wifi, you can connect it to your mobile phone and print directly from there. With the latest update of the Canon print app, connecting to the mobile phone is very easy.
  Its ink cartridges are the PG540 (black) and CL541 (color)... I recommend getting the XL ones because they are more cost-effective, they last longer and cost about €22 each.
  I bought it on sale for €33.
  For home use, there is nothing better, it saves you time and trips to the bookstore!

  The installer program is only 48MB and includes a flexible usage method (simple and complex). Besides FAX, it has everything (including mobile connectivity). Truly, after one week, I found it more direct and fast in what I need to do compared to other companies. The installation is easy, the quality is good, the printing is relatively fast, the scanning is a bit slow, and it has a "quiet mode" option (almost silent printing, silent scanning). It is compact in size. The absence of a function screen may make it difficult for some. Overall, you get a lot more than you expect for under 40€.
