After four months of living with the Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE (purchased on 22/11 for 299€ during Black Friday week), I believe it's time to write my own review to help potential buyers from my side. I should mention that I have had flagship phones from all the "big" companies in the past, but I currently come from the Mi 9 SE (which I chose mainly because of its size!) so there will be some comparisons with this particular model.
Pros:
-The phone is beautiful and extremely light for its category. Since I am a fan of small phones but didn't want to spend over 500€ on a more compact device, I settled for the 11 lite 5G NE which ultimately did not disappoint me in this area at all, as its weight makes it comfortable to use for hours on end.
- The fingerprint scanner is very fast, without any issues as some users have reported. However, I prefer the fingerprint scanner on the screen like on the Mi 9 SE.
- The processor is very good for its category, it doesn't lag anywhere and in combination with the 8GB of RAM, it hasn't faced any issues so far. I should note that I don't play games, so I don't have an opinion in that area.
- The battery life is very good, it's the only phone since the LG G2 that manages to last me a full day with my usage! Of course, because I always charge it from 40% to 80-85%, as you can understand, I charge it at some point during the day... Now, if we combine this with how slim the phone is, we must give credit to Xiaomi for this achievement.
- Fast charging... not as fast as others that support 67w (or even 120w now) but I believe it's ideal to prevent the battery from deteriorating quickly, and to charge it while you get ready in the morning and make a coffee.
- Microphone and speaker that correspond to phones of a higher price range! Calls are crystal clear and the speaker quality is excellent. The stereo speakers are among the most powerful in a phone, and also quite good in sound quality.
- 5G... The photo I uploaded says it all, so I have nothing more to add.
Neutral:
- The screen... This infamous screen, which can be both a positive and a negative depending on its use at the moment. And what do I mean... If you watch a high-quality video (HDR, Dolby Vision, Blu-ray) or good quality photos, the screen is fantastic! One of the best screens I've ever had and better than the Mi 9 SE! BUT... If you watch SD videos or photos from social media with black colors on this same screen, especially if you are in a dark place, the screen looks terrible and you feel extremely disappointed to the point where you want to throw the phone against the wall, or at least sell it... and under these conditions, I much prefer the screen of the Mi 9 SE.
- The photos... They are not bad by any means, but they are not wow either! I expected better photos from the main camera compared to the Mi 9 SE, but most of the time they are slightly worse, while sometimes they are slightly better. Overall, there is no consistency in the camera's performance. It falls short compared to the Mi 9 SE in the Ultrawide camera. In the macro lens, it usually does a good job, but you have to achieve the ideal distance for it to focus well and not produce blurry photos.
- Face recognition. It is quite good and fast, but it falls behind compared to the Mi 9 SE, especially when the lighting is low. This is probably because the front camera of the Mi 9 has a larger aperture, allowing more light to pass through.
- The selfie camera, which although I don't use it much, I consider it to be good, but it is let down by Xiaomi's software. With Gcam, it takes much better photos, so those who take selfies should try it and you will remember me.
- Lastly, regarding the neutral aspects and the MIUI, it still has some bugs, especially in version 13, which I hope will be fixed in future updates.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE is a beautiful and complete mobile phone, with some compromises in terms of the screen (I don't know what happens for those who get the good panel, of course!)... If we also consider the price, then it is the best option you can buy at the moment.
P.S. I deduct one star solely because of the screen, as it has disappointed me many times and I am considering going back to Samsung's flagship phones!

First time I buy a mobile phone of this category, usually I go for low budget options that last for years. The initial excitement with its specs and the good quality in photography, and the extra investment in a protective screen & lens and a good case, turned into disappointment, as after 12 days its screen suddenly broke and now it displays a vertical bright line from edge to edge, in the middle of the screen.

After 5 months, the motherboard burned out and it never turned on again, the worst there is, Xiaomi. In December, I will be two years old and its performance is really like the first day. Incredibly fast even now that I have almost filled it up. Lightweight, nice design, if you put a case on it and take care of it, it won't suffer anything. Personally, I have it like the first day in terms of appearance and functions. The only negative thing we can say is the battery. At first, it was endless, but after a year, of course, the usage doubled and it started to drain a bit faster. But still, I have it on for 6-7 hours straight with full functionality and it lasts. It's definitely worth it and I see that its price hasn't dropped two years later, which means it is good quality.

The mobile phone is quite fast. I have never had an expensive flagship to compare it to.
I don't play games, so for everyday use, it's great.
What bothered me was the always on display. Coming from the mi note 10 lite where the always on display was permanent. In this one, it only stayed on for 10 seconds, like most xiaomi phones. The problem was solved after I installed a different rom, specifically the xtrv from the Greek xiaomi-miui community.
With this rom, it occasionally experiences a second-long lag when scrolling.
Now the real flaw is its battery. Rarely will it last the whole day with the usage I give it. It has decent usage, but without games. The mi note 10 lite I had was a power bank compared to this!
