I will give a high overall rating even though the extractor came with a small dent on the top (fortunately it is not visible since it is in the ceiling part and is not visible) as a result of inadequate packaging. When you send a product with shipping or courier, it would be good to reinforce the box a bit externally.
It works perfectly. It pulls satisfactorily. The removable washable filters and the fact that it is stainless steel are advantages.
The downsides are its only light and the low stability of its buttons.
Overall, I am very satisfied.
Mainly for the promptness of the processing of my order. In two days I had the device in my hands.
A quite satisfactory extractor for its price, its noise is perfectly normal and it is understood that on the third setting it is quite powerful but not to the point where you can't sit next to it as described. Although I rarely exceed the use of the second setting since it is more than enough for the use and the space it is in. In order to use the third setting, I believe you would have to fry something with a lot of oil and smoke, which also means that afterwards it will require a thorough cleaning, not only of the filters, which are also metallic, easily detachable and dishwasher safe. The light is sufficient with LED bulbs, which I partly consider a negative because if they burn out, I don't believe there is an easy way to replace them, but it is also the last thing that will concern me. I have had it for a relatively short period of time, so we will talk about durability in the future.
I have had it for about 10 months. Within these 10 months, the black plastic hinge on the right side, which holds the glass, has broken twice. It is worth noting that we do not open or close the glass, there is no reason to. It just happens to be located underneath the largest burner in the kitchen where large pots go and obviously generates more heat. The distance is more than enough, I do not have low cabinets, so the hinges did not break, they disintegrated, shattered as if they had been exposed to the sun and corrosion for a year, and the glass fell onto the glass stove (luckily it did not break, I was lucky). The first time I spoke to the representative and they sent me a new part for free, but it had a shorter lifespan than the first one. Now I hold the glass with a piece of cork, there was no reason to get the same plastic part again and risk it breaking for the third time.
It is VERY noisy and the reason is that it has grilles on the front which I assume function as cooling for the motors. So all the noise comes out directly in front. They could have had these air vents internally or even channel the air into the chimney.
When I connected the chimney, I remember that I got fake fittings of various diameters, all the "known" ones, but the diameter of the "exhaust" had a strange decimal number for a diameter and I had to come up with a trick using double-sided foam tape to prevent leaks.
Its filters are very delicate, like paper. I made the mistake of touching them with my fingertips as I took it out of the packaging and they bent. I managed to straighten them, but they have acquired a permanent deformation.
Overall, it has many construction flaws and I assume the name Singer is just a label that was put on some rebranded Chinese product. I bought it in August '22 for €78 and now I see that its price has skyrocketed to €95 and €100.
Good extractor hood, with stainless steel plate in ALL parts of it, relatively good performance, good lighting, its buttons are ergonomic.
On the negative side, its motors make a deep noise due to magnetic interference, although not so annoying. Its support is somewhat awkward, as it is difficult to install due to the motor's volume, and it is also loose, so it has flaps that channel the air absorption inside, but these flaps are not completely sealed (like in most economically open-type hoods). I would prefer it again for up to 80-90 euros.
We paid for a silent product, basically based on a comment we read and its characteristics. It is not only silent. When it is operating, you cannot sit close to it.
It leaks oil and steam onto the food you cook.
The service and representation are non-existent.
I have been trying for over 3 months for them to come and see it, and nothing, indifference. I will have to buy another one.
Stay away
Honest extractor for its money. Beautiful aesthetically and seems to work quite satisfactorily. The noise in high operation is normal.
I would prefer it to have more light, but these are details....
Replaced a NEFF with the same appearance and dimensions, even the distance between the screws!!! The switch on the Neff broke, which was more expensive than the Singer.
So far, everything is good.
Initially purchased for the ability to vent air from the back and not just from the top like most. It is quite high quality, easy to install, and performs very well. In a 9 square meter kitchen (3.2 meters high), it has very good suction without the place smelling or filling with smoke. The built-in grease filters are quite satisfactory, but it is good to clean them regularly, as well as the motors right behind them. The only thing I didn't like is that the LED lighting, although sufficient, is proprietary, which means that if it burns out, you will have to request the same replacement because it is a unified piece that is connected with a plug to the extractor. However, I don't believe it will burn out soon, so it won't be a big problem. It is worth the money
