First of all, let's say that it is ideal for everyday use considering its price, it is value for money, worth every euro, and perfect for urban use.
On one hand, it looks remarkably similar to the Leatherman Wave, and on the other hand, it has similarities with the Leatherman Bond.
The Curl has the good qualities of both mentioned above.
From the Wave, it has taken the knife and the diamond file, as well as the scissors and the bit extender that can accept Leatherman screwdriver bits.
From the Bond, it has taken the amazing pocket clip, which is the best clip from Leatherman... in fact, the same clip is also found on the Free P2 and Free P4.
Externally, it has a knife and a file. It does not have a saw or a serrated knife, that's why I mentioned that I recommend it for urban use.
It has a screwdriver that is missing from the Wave. In the pliers, it does not have interchangeable cutters like the Wave, but the cutters it has are very capable.
Certainly, if someone constantly cuts wires and cables, it is better to choose the Rebar, which is at the same price and has interchangeable cutters.
The two tools of the Curl that are external (knife and file) lock securely like in the Wave...
The internal tools do not lock with a button like in other Leatherman models (Wave, Surge, Free, etc.), but they are slipjoint, meaning they close, but with a little force. For many, this is a negative point, but in general, in everyday use, there are not huge differences.
Because I have the Free P4, Surge, Rebar, Curl Wave, and I have also used the Wave, Bond, and PST. I can say that for me, the most convenient tool for everyday use is by far the Free P4, and the second one is the Curl!
And for something reliable and sturdy, only the Surge.
It comes with the case you see.
In a few words, it is a more budget-friendly wave plus (+) without a saw and serrated knife.
It is definitely worth the 80 to 90 euros.
